About this house rental
Nestled in West Beach, this attractive house for $799 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. Welcome to Water's Edge! Water's Edge is a 6 BR/5 BA 2 level home that is directly on the beach. It is appointed with high end furnishings and finishes. This spacious 3400+ sq ft home features travertine tile in all common areas and bathrooms as well as natural stone tile in all showers. The living areas and bedrooms are enhanced by natural light that filters in from all sides through Anderson windows and doors. The open floor plan combines the living and dining areas with the well-appointed kitchen, making family gatherings comfortable and cozy. The kitchen is fully equipped granite counter tops, hardwood cabinets, an ice machine, plus extra drink refrigerator. The adjacent dining room seats 8 and the nearby bar seats 4. The beach side master bedroom suite on the second floor has a direct gulf view, a 28' beach front deck, a sitting area, a king sized bed and a full private bath featuring a jetted tub, a separate shower with dual shower heads, double sinks and a walk-in closet. The second master on the first floor has a beautiful lagoon view, a king sized bed, a full private bath featuring a jetted tub, a separate shower, double sinks and a walk-in closet. The other 4 bedrooms include a king bed, two queen beds, and a bunk room with 4 bunk beds. Five of the six bedrooms have decks which are perfect for enjoying the gorgeous sunrises and sunsets! All bedrooms have 32'-42' plasma or LCD TVs. All of the bathrooms have natural soapstone counter tops and the bedrooms are equipped with ceiling fans. The ground level entry and foyer provides easy access to the upper levels as well as the beach. The central focus of the 1st floor is the large living room which features a large gulf front deck, a 70LCD HDTV, two full couches, two arm chairs for your viewing comfort. In the living room your hosts provide a Hi-Fi home theater system through which you can integrated your iPod or play your CDs. The home is also equipped with an elevator, a laundry facility, outdoor grill, seating area an outdoor shower and Wi-Fi. This is a non-smoking home that will comfortable occupy 16 guests. We rent to student groups and wedding parties only after approval by owner. Water's Edge is located approximately 2.5 miles west of Hwy 59. We feature a state of the art keyless entry system that eliminates the need to pick up and return keys - a unique code will be generated for your visit and emailed or faxed to you after full payment is made. The property is very clean and the pictures accurately represent the condition of the home. We had two elderly parents with mobility issues, so the elevator was a blessing. The kitchen utensils are the best we have seen at any rental. My only caveat is that there was a significant amount of heavy equipment (bulldozers, etc..) on the beach related to the dredging of Little Lagoon Inlet and a beach restoration project. I believe these are extremely rare, but I would suggest any potential renter to check with local authorities for any planned activity prior to booking as it did limit our access to the beach for several days. Otherwise, I would totally book the property on my next visit to Gulf Shores.

We were looking for a place for a family get together. We have 3 adult children, spouses and grandkids. This was the perfect beach house for us. Plenty of bedrooms so each couple got their own. A room for the 2 to 6 year olds and plenty of space for the pack-n-play for the baby. The only thing that was not perfect was the ability to close off the stairs for the crawler. The stairways were too wide for child gates. Also, the steep stairs from the main level to the beach on the deck were not gated, so time on the deck with all the little ones was limited as the huge opening was a major fall hazard for the small children. It was advertised as a private beach, but since there was no signage on the street side to notify others, we would have vacationers from across the street walking between houses and setting up on the beach in what we thought was our private space. We learned we had to get up and go out early to stake out our territory. LOL

The house was spacious and WHAT A VIEW. My Mom and I enjoyed the front porch for hours every morning - the breezes, the sound of the waves, and the herons/birds. The elevator was a huge plus for my Mom - who at 79 and after a recent knee surgery - has a tough time with stairs. The younger boys enjoyed all of the additional amenities close by such as OWA, the race car track and the video arcades. We always like to go to the Wharf for a meal at Villagio and maybe a movie. We were surprised that the restaurants this summer were not crowded - very unusual and possibly the timing of June rather than July ???? Yummy seafood at Sunset Grille at the marina. We also enjoy Fishers. In a perfect world, it would be nice to have an actual laundry room rather than just a washer/dryer behind two doors, but the rest of the house made up for it. The beds are getting creaky - we actually took off our mattress to try to realign the slats under our king bed (first floor on the road side) which helped a little bit. The upstairs king bedroom on the road side of the house has a dripping faucet when shower turned on and a broken handle on the balcony door plus broken blinds - minor incidentals in our book. Overall a fantastic stay and would highly recommend. Nice large kitchen that was well stocked - so many types of coffee pots including a Keurig, our fav. We brought our own Sun Ninja tent and two chairs for the beach which worked well. There are plenty of plastic chairs provided. Enjoy!

Instead of Christmas gifts we wanted to make memories instead. This place was GREAT. We had 3 generations ages from 20 to 78. The elevator was a huge huge lifesaver for the older folks. The Master Suite was so amazing. The elevator allowed us to give that room to the Grandparents. They had an amazing view without leaving the bed! It was nice to be able to have our dogs to since they are family too. Stephanie and Cheril were so helpful and fast to return contact. Looking for a great place this is it!!

Also, we have thoroughly enjoyed the intermittent rain showers, cool breezes & milder temps here on the Gulf (a welcome change after enduring a month & a half of drought and triple-digit temperatures back in TX!) Great vacay for Family.
This was a great place to stay for a family of 15. Small issues like the pipe in the sand right in front of our house where we should put our tent. Great neighbors let us move over some. Not a problem. Bathtub needs nonslip pads. Stairs can be dangerous for crawling babies. We would rent again. Loved our week!

Beautiful home right on the beach
The house and property were amazing. The large porch was wonderful for early morning to watch the waves and dolphins swimming around and for late night relaxing. The only drawback was a large pipe sticking out of the ground that was used to dredge the lagoon down the street and brought a couple of tractors over when this was taking place. It ran for 4 of the 7 days we were there. It didn't interfere with our stay, but did obstruct the view during the day.

This beautiful beach house was Absolutely Perfect for our family !! A wonderful blessing right off was the elevator so we didn’t have to carry our luggage upstairs . Yay !!!! The house was extremely clean , beautifully decorated and so comfortable The pics on line do not do it justice . The spaciousness of the kitchen, dining , and family area was wonderful !!! I personally loved the kitchen having two fridges and a separate ice maker . The kitchen also had numerous dishes ,drinking glasses, baking sheets, pans, every kind of gadget and appliance imaginable ! We all absolutely loved the covered front porch for our family to hang out while taking breaks from the sun .The bedrooms were spacious and the mattresses very comfortable !!! The location is great for eating in or dining out . I would highly recommend this be beautiful beach house . We’ve stayed in several very upscale condos and cabins but this has been our most enjoyable stay !!

This house was beyond everything we were looking for. My daughter said it was a mansion lol. The only thing we had to provide for ourselves was food and beverage lol. Every kitchen utensil was there, the bathrooms were huge. Beds were dreamy. Hopefully we will be able to book this again next year.
