Great house outside of the town, very private and with everything you can possibly need (get yourself fruits for some smoothies!). We loved this a bit remote location! We went for hiking in the mornings and spent afternoons watching birds from the balcony. We would definitely come back!

The house is beautiful. Well-appointed, clean, comfortable, and with amazing views. The garden is stunning. Perfect for bird watchers and we saw many animals and gorgeous birds. Close to downtown, but far enough away to have a quiet getaway away from the hustle. The owner left bread, eggs, and fresh flowers, which was a nice touch. Having wifi, a smart TV, and laundry on-site were also much appreciated amenities. Check in and out was easy, and the owner was attentive and responsive. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this home to anyone coming to Monteverde.

The road leading to the house is quite difficult (unpaved) - be sure to have a vehicle with a high clearance (not a complaint, just a tip for other travelers). My only suggestion to the owner is that the screens do not sit tightly in the windows, leaving gaps and allowing the opportunity for mosquitos to get inside. We do wish the bedroom glass doors had screens as the breeze was lovely after a long day hiking!

This house was exactly what we were looking for. Fantastic surroundings and fully equipped. We were welcomed with coffee, eggs and a delicious bread as a welcome detail which we enjoyed for breakfast. Very nice bedrooms. A balcony with a breathtaking view. Highly recommended. We will definitely come back!

Wow, what a place, what a peaceful paradise with amazing views!

Highly recommended! Amazing views to cloud forest, so private, everything in that house makes you and your family/friends to smile! You can enjoy jungle “noise” from terrace with cup of tea/coffee and the river flowing somewhere down there. Easy access with normal car ;) Shop around ~3km to drive, Monteverde nacional park with its great highlights nearby, as extra bonus you can take well marked hiking path with beautiful views just from the house. You have laundry machine with dryer as its super necessary ( air wet % is around 100% and things are not drying just when hanging them on somewhere..). Kitchen is fully equipped. Smoothie machine made extra smile for our family. Great when travelling with children as well. Sweet to have welcoming bread + basket with eggs.

The house and it's surrounding were stunning! We had everything we needed. The views from the balconies were beautiful.

The check out at 10 am is too early. We asked to check out at 11 am but were not accommodated. Although, the area is gorgeous, the house is pretty secluded.

Tranquil, serene and calming home!

The views are stunning, photos don’t do it justice. The house itself was comfortable and they added cute touches.

Don’t miss sitting on the deck and walking the trails.

A beautiful home away from home and a fantastic deal for the money!

The house was amazing and more beautiful than the photos. The beds and linens were excellent. The hosts left eggs and bread and the fresh cut flowers were lovely. Sleeping was wonderful with the sound of the river. We loved that looking out from the upstairs porch we could see the many different kinds of hummingbirds. The property itself was lovely to walk around. We were also a short drive to the different cloud forests and close to town for meals but we cooked breakfast every day in the kitchen and had everything we needed.

The roads but that was true of all of the places we stayed. I would strongly recommend that anyone visiting Costa Rica rent only a 4 wheel drive because of the rain and the unexpected changes that occur on the roads.

Gorgeous setting! Amazing 2 bedroom, two bath house. Very clean and very comfortable with lovely decks for enjoying the view. Fresh flowers, coffee and bread upon arrival.

Not easy to get there by car. Four wheel drive is an advantage but when you are there it is like in heaven. Haus is great and they have even their own trail. Better than the rain forest where you have to pay.

Perfect place to stay to visit Monteverde

Good location close to restaurants in Santa Elena, close to zip lining, and close to the cloud forest. Spacious house well maintained with all amenities and comfortable bed.

Nothing, but make sure you drive at least a small 4X4 because the road to get to Casa Mia is rocky and bumpy.

Very friendly owner. We got some food for free when we arrived after a quite long drive, what we really appreciated. The house was perfect equipped with everything you need, as well as information about restaurants and tours to book. The house was very clean and cozy with flowers. Gracias por todo, puravida :)

Perfect!

The house is beautiful, modern, spacious and completely equipped. The location is breathtaking! If we would go back to Monteverde we would definitely stay here again. 10/10!
