About this house rental
Nestled in Auburn, this attractive house for $205 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. Nestled just steps away from the American River Canyon as well as Old Town and Down town Auburn, this quaint cottage offers all you need to enjoy the abundance of options the area has to offer. Trail running, mountain biking, hiking, river rafting, award winning wineries and breweries, music, and if you choose, a glimpse into what started the movement west in 1852. GOLD! The cottage has an open concept with a queen bed, a leather sectional, and a sleeping loft with a twin mattress. Well appointed kitchen with a full size refrigerator, large microwave, coffee maker, electric kettle, gas stove, counter top convection oven, blender and coffee grinder for the fresh beans. There is a desk area if you need to get some work done and a great ductless A/C and gas fireplace if you want to enjoy a fire. We are here to help with directions, instruction and suggestions. Great for kids, and we welcome well behaved pets upon approval. The area around the cottage has mature boxwood bushes, an antique gate and some deer deter fencing. Is not totally secure to keep the pups in.

No offense to the picture taker, but the pictures on the website don't do justice to how great this little cottage is. It's far more spacious than it looks. The host was awesome, very nice and helpful. It's very quiet and we will definitely stay there again.

This place is a great retreat for a couple and even has a little loft area that kids will love that they can sleep in. Lots of wildflowers and plants with singing birds a-plenty to help you relax.
It is a work in process, but is very close to being completed. Some minor things like hanging free outlet covers and some debris plies outside, but nothing from stopping me from staying again.
It’s a very quiet little cottage. Looking forward to see it again.

The house is a great little place for once or two people. It was a bit smaller than expected but it wasn’t an issue for myself and a friend. It was a bit harder to find than I expected but we were arriving after dinner in full dark. Beautiful area close to tons of hiking trails and old town for restaurants and activities.

Alex greeted me when I first arrived, showing me personally around the cottage. Glenn & Alex were excellent hosts (immediately available when needed, but also giving me privacy... Glenn even offered to pick up something from the store when he was there!) The cottage is the perfect size and well-appointed. I chose to sleep in the cozy little loft (very comfortable). The fridge was stocked with some drinks that guests are allowed to use. I took several long walks in the neighborhood, shopped in town, and just enjoyed what this lovely town and cottage had to offer. This was exactly what I was looking for - a quiet, beautiful place away from all responsibilities to celebrate my 50th birthday 🎉. Thank you, Alex & Glenn! I hope to return in the future.

The bedroom does not have a door that closes off from the main space so but that wasn't an issue for our group. The kitchen is large and well-equipped, bed very comfortable, and bathroom had all the amenities we needed. Just a few minutes away from beautiful hiking trails!

No response until the 3rd time. Not a true 2 bedroom. It's a studio property. No door for 1 bed and 2nd bed is up a very steep 8' ladder with foam on the floor. Disappointed when stayed with my 82 year old mother who obviously isn't climbing a 8 ' ladder and no bedroom privacy. Also, no exterior lighting so from parking to the property at night is super hard unless you have a flashlight and don't step on the chicken poop as there are 2 chickens running around let alone the cat eating a mouse right by the front door when we first got to the property.

Loved this place...so comfortable all around!! Loved how private it was....and the ambience of inside was really cute. Only stayed one night....but in the future hope too stay longer. The outside gardens are very inviting and chickens too were a nice surprise!! Thank-You .....

Alexandra, the host, is friendly and welcoming. Her cozy cottage is beautifully decorated. Some basic items were missing: bath soap, gas for the BBQ grill, steak knives, paper napkins. Otherwise a nice place to stay.
