The location is right on the border of the Spanish Quarter of Naples. The entrance was a little hard to find. It is in an alley between outside seating of two different restaurants. If you arrive after 6 or 7PM you will have to ring the buzzer of the hotel. The same entrance is used for apartments in other parts of the building - it is a large building.
Trying to find the entrance was a challenge - just remember It is in an alley (Piazzetta Matilde Serao) between outside seating of two different restaurants. It is a large wood door with a multi-button gold box intercom next to the door.Press the Hotel Matilde button if coming at night and they will buzz you in. Take the stairs to the second floor to the hotel entrance.

Super convenient and centrally located. Staff were so friendly and great. Really enjoyed the breakfast too
One night the street below was really loud. Guess that’s to be expected when you’re so in the middle of everything.
Instructions on how to get into the hotel should be provided. Incredibly difficult to locate the first time

Central location
The quality of breakfast and the towels is very poor. The bathroom smells and we needed to have the fan on all the time. The bathroom of my daughters’ room locked by itself during the night and no one could open it so during the night they had to use the public toilet at the end of the corridor.
The entrance to the hotel is very shabby and the area outside it is full of rubbish and in general is very noisy. However the hotel is very close to some interesting places and that wad very convenient.
