Old and with a lot of history, uneven floors

Room was very spacious and well furnished. Bed linen and towels top quality. Tea, coffee, and water etc provided. Large television. Large free private parking at rear of hotel. Breakfast was very good; nice selection of cereal, yogurt, juices, toast, teas and coffee. Cooked breakfast was gorgeous š Nice ambience in the whole bar/lounge/restaurant areas. A lovely stay!
Not a major problem at all, but, a few of the fittings e.g. towel rails need a little tweak with a screwdriver.

Nice location in a lovely little mid-wales town. Full of character. Very nice staff. Good beer. Central location. Excellent curry house just down the street.
Tired bathroom, black mould in shower, no mattress protector on bed. (Just a sheet on top of very tired mattress that was stained with the body grease of hundreds of previous guestsā¦ š¤¢)Guest parking all occupied by local drinkers. Truly awful breakfast. (Microwaved scrambled eggs - Who does that?) hash browns leaking grease onto the plate. They really need to sack the chef. No decent coffee (only budget instant).. as I said, truly awful.

Good facility spoilt be low staffing and overcrowded breakfast room.
The staff numbers were inadequate for the number of guests ,. In addition the breakfast facility was inadequate to meet the number wanting cooked breakfast . One single toaster was far too short to avoid long waits . The delay in serving the breakfasts was long because all the demand came at a similar time,.
