I’ll start by saying I love this building and Bender Realty. The location and proximity to the beach is amazing. The people at Bender are amazing. I’ve stayed at other units in this building it is an older building, the units are older units and usually dated units. We immediately noticed the ceiling fans were dusty like really dusty. There was dried jam still on the kitchen table. I can’t even explain what is going on with the ceilings in bathrooms and kitchen but I spent a hour making sure there weren’t hidden cameras. This unit was just not cleaned properly. It was “dated” as we expected but there was a tub that never drained properly. The hot water lasted 10 mins max in shower. The beds were probably the worst I’ve ever seen in a rental. Good thing we aren’t TV people. We never cook at rentals but I’m sure the Goodwill/2nd hand thrift few items that were in the kitchen would have sufficed. On the plus side lots or drawer space to put your items and amazing views. Great pool and beach access. Don’t rent 1B there are nicer units in this building at same or close to same rate.

The check in time is very misleading. We had to wait hours past the actual check-in time that was given on the VRBO app. The unit was not clean even though that was the reason given for the longer than normal check-in. The unit is very outdated.

The entire condo was under construction when we went. It didn't feel safe in the halls or the condo itself. The location was awesome, the pool was great, and the ocean is just on the other side of the pool. Once the construction is done, this should be a really nice stay. We were disappointed in the construction and how dated everything was.

We’ve been coming to Gulf Tower since the 90’s and have always had good experiences. It has the best ocean side pool and largest pool deck that we could find. Even when full it rarely feels crowded. The building has been undergoing renovation and these are good but taking far too long. Only one elevator has been available of the two on our last 3-4 visits. Also 1C is my wife and my favorite unit when we come by ourselves or with kids but we’re beginning to tire of some of its shortcomings. The bathroom ceiling tiles have been missing forever. There’s no dishwasher or laundry but we’ve been able to overlook those two issues for the quaint ambiance and the price we get. However, for a beach vaca place to stay, one could expect more towel racks! There’s plenty of places yet 1C only has one !!! Ridiculous! Even the second sink, which is a nice touch, has no rack. This may seem minor but draping damp towels over furniture and wherever possible sucks! It makes you notice other minor issues like sliding glass doors that stick and ceiling fan on awesome balcony that doesn’t allow fan to run without light being on. Very annoying when you want to sit out at night without having every movement viewable from the beach. Lastly, the key fob required to get into the pool area from building and beach is the worst!!! Only one fob per unit and takes to hands to open. Pitiful for beach goers especially with small grandchildren. All things easy to fix if owners have a hoot. Bender is GREAT to work with so owners will be to blame if we go elsewhere.

Great location, great layout of house and enjoyed the enclosed double glass sliding doors of the balcony. There also had a dining table where we ate all our dinners! A rocking chair where l sat and watched kids play on the beach. Best part for me!
Wished we could walk out to the beach from the house instead of taking back stairs.
When l booked the listing said "new renovated... pictures coming soon" but it looks like they upgrades furniture but the carpet NEEDS to go. It stunk from the "tried to clean" when we arrived and it felt dirty stepping on it mostly due to the humidity or wetness. That was my one big dislike...l do not like smelly carpets. Told the agent and she had someone come spray it with vinegar. That helped a bit but l literally keep the sliding doors open and fans running all day long till close to midnight. It's hard to keep carpet clean in my own house...l would imagine even harder in a "beach wet vacation house"!
For the check-in process - it was ok but we arrived around 11pm instead of asking us to pass by the office to collect keys. I wish the agent could put a lockbox at the house...give us code and we go straight to the house and open lockbox...get keys and at departure put keys in lockbox and back on door and leave.
We loved the available kitchen stuff since we made all our meals. And enjoyed the pool areas....nice & clean. So overall we enjoyed the place and our time there!

We enjoyed the complex. The building and pool are much closer to the beach/gulf than other places we've stayed, which made walking out to the beach much easier. We were disappointed in the condition and amenities of the condo. It's in need of some maintenance overall. The second bedroom doesn't have a tv and the main bedroom tv doesn't have a remote. Since we didn't come to the beach for tv, we were fine without that. However, I could see this being a disappointment for future renters. The master bath shower head was broken and the faucet in the main bath was running nonstop when we arrived. We called Bender and they took care of the issues with the showers as soon as possible. The staff at Bender are always friendly and helpful! We really liked that the balcony was enclosed with doors. The condo was spacious and had plenty of dishes, silverware, etc.

Enjoyed this location!
If you love a super busy beach this is a great option. We loved the view and proximity to the beach as well as things to do. Keep in mind the pool is right outside the patio... so the kiddos are playing and enjoying the pool making this a great option for younger families but a little loud if not. Water pressure in the showers was awesome!! Kitchen was outdated but it wouldn't keep me from staying here again.

Fun in the Sun
Condo was nice and so convenient to the pool and beach. We had a wonderful time. The security guard was a bit much on their security of people being questioned nonstop, not a lot of parking available but we really enjoyed our time. The staff at Bender is amazing!

Bender Realty was great to work with. They sent text to update me on the rental process. Although I rented from VRBO it was with Bender. Didn't realize until I got credit card bill that I had to pay a VRBO fee. It was charged separately. Won't do that again. Description of condo was "dated and it definitely was! Had carpet which had seen better days and was not for our family which had crawling babies. Gulf Tower is the perfect location!

We arrived and found the phone inoperative. Got that fixed. Couch was shot and they replaced that and a new chair. TV in bedroom was antiquated. They replaced that with a new one. One of the air ducts had peeling paint that looked like mold but wasn't. It was rust where the paint flaked off. That was fixed. The blanket in the other bedroom was wore right out and had some cigaret holes in it. This must be replaced. The shade on the window was missing because on the internet site, it was on it then. The furnace never shut off mainly because of the huge gap on the bottom of the door. (Very costly) A North wind made the unit very cold. The door entrance had the key where all the rest had the combination type. The furniture was old and all the outdated stuff was placed out on the deck. Once the majority of items were fixed it was comfortable. Beds were great for sleeping and the view was great. The ladies in the office were always helpful and understanding.

The property was pretty outdated but clean. It was as pictured on the site. Management company was pleasant. Condo had all of the cooking utensils and pans. The Security guard was a bit overzealous. Our door was open (the drafts are very stong) for 7 hours and the security guard said "did you mean to leave your door open, its been open all day". I don't understand why she didn't close the door...or do something to mitigate our door being open for 7/8 hours. Walls were thin and we heard people playing loud music well past 10PM.

Overall the experience was great, the location of Gulf Tower is excellent. Easy access to beach and only 1 mile from main area of Gulf Shores. Pool was perfect. On the negative side the complex has very limited parking (one car per unit) and the condo it self is older and in need of modern updates, but did meet all our needs.

We had a pleasant stay in gulf tower 1b, the unit could use some updating, such as new furniture and kitchen accessories (need new pots and pans, and the toaster only toast one side of the bread, etc.)as for the security guard, she pretty much questions you about your parking passes on a nightly bases, even though u just talked to her, at one point two of the kids (both 13) were playing in the pool and i walked in the pool area from the parking garage and noticed she was just staring at them in the pool with her arms crossed, when i showed up she again questioned me about my parking pass for the 3rd night and left the area, i understand that she is trying to keep the place safe i suppose, but it felt like a bit much. As for every thing else about the stay it was great! We love the area, great access to every thing you could need, and great view of the gulf! We will most likely stay again.

1B was very unclean. It might be okay for a bunch of college students, but for a family with young children, it was just plain gross. Upon arrival, I felt the need to clean the counters, floors and toilets with bleach wipes. Carpets were gross and in my opinion should not be in a condo by the ocean. Tile floors are more sanitary. Bender reality was quick to address our problems and had someone come quickly to clean carpets and fix the toilet. Compared to another condo in the same building, 1B was very outdated. The owners need to update and clean this condo thoroughly!

We enjoyed our stay and the beach view is amazing! The only issue we had was the shower, it does not drain (both showers), it floods up with water while taking a showering which is gross. Other than that, we will definitely be back!

This was my first time in Gulf Shores. It was an amazing experience. For the most part we loved staying at Gulf Tower. The parking was a struggle due to the construction going on. Our condo was outdated. I feel like a few newer things would make it look a lot better. When we arrived the kitchen counter had some spills on it still and the floor was dirty. There was a pile of sand and some shells sweeper up in a pile out on the patio between the two doors like they sweeper them up but never picked it up. We found a Barbie behind the one side table in living room that I feel like the cleaning person would’ve saw if the room was cleaned properly. The mirror in the hall bath looked like it had fallen off the wall a long time ago and was just leaning against the wall (seems like it would be an easy fix). The master bedroom was very dark even with both lamps on. I know everyone is having a hard time finding people to work so I’m sure the cleaning crew was very sparse but like I said our overall stay was wonderful! The view of the beach and pool was awesome. Easy access. We would definitely recommend Gulf Towers to friends or family. Thank you!

Bender Realty was exceptional to work with; they immediately fixed issues we encountered. The condo has a great view and close proximity to the pool and beach. However, the condo really needs updates: stained furniture, cabinets are tearing up, sliding door wouldn't stay shut/locked, master toilet rocks, carpet tearing at tile, etc.

We have stayed in condos many times through Bender. This condo was in terrible shape. It was clean,view was great but the condo is way out dated and smells bad.A/C did not work well.cabinets have foam exposed because they're so old. Would not recommend this condo to anyone.
