Situated in Yarmouth Port, this charming house for $672 per night is a great option for your next trip. A spectacular waterfront property! Privately situated at the end of a quiet lane, this home sits on a lush two acres featuring commanding views and frontage on Follins Pond/Bass River with a circular drive way. Enter the front door and be struck by the open grand room featuring cathedral ceilings, and windows overlooking the large patio, beautiful lawn, and fabulous view of the waters. The one level house has 8 rooms with 4 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms. Enjoy beautiful views of the water from almost every room in the house. The kitchen and a guest bathroom were completely remodeled in 2019. New high efficient Fujitsu Air Conditioning Systems were installed for the whole house in 2019 as well. There is a TV in entertainment room and another TV in master bedroom. The property includes a sandy beach that is great for swimming. A canoe, two kayaks, and numerous other water accessories including beach chairs, lifejackets, and paddles are also provided. Additionally, the property includes a dock and a boathouse with a full bath right on the edge of the water with a newly built deck around. This property is fantastic, great views of the pond from most rooms. Kayaking on the pond was beautiful. Host was very accommodating.

The house is very nice and quite spacious. Yiping was very good with communication.
If you’re allergic to poison ivy be aware that there’s a fair amount of it on the path to the boathouse. I’m allergic but appear to have avoided it going down the path several times.

The house and property was a perfect location for a group ranging from 10 months to recently retired. The sand beach and one floor layout is just what we all needed, giving us freedom to be together or do our own thing. It is centrally located for Bay beaches, ice cream, the Cape Cod National Seashore and more. The host is accessible and accommodating. We will be back next summer!

Not Ready at Promised Time - At 4PM on 8/14/21 we were unable to take occupancy of 185 Cranberry as promised because the cleaners were still working, with much left to do. We were finally able move in around 6:00PM after agreeing to fold sheets, run the dishwasher ourselves.
Linen and Towels - The bed linen were old, ragged, stained, mismatched and inadequate. Although laundered, stains had not come out. Alot of the towels were also dingy, stained and ragged. There were not full sets of towels.
Interior of the House, Furniture and Rugs – The interior of the house needs a deep clean. Cobwebs in the corners. The floors were so filthy we could not walk barefoot without our feet turning black. The door to the back yard was missing a pane of glass. The furniture and rugs throughout was stained, dingy and dirty. Removing couch cushions revealed crumbs, pet hair and sand. Bathrooms were musty and smelled of mildew and urine.
Exterior of the House – The exterior of the home is extremely run down. Landscaping is inadequate and it seemed that no yard clean-up had been done for some time. Two wooden planters in the front of the house are broken and falling apart. Trash was found littering the back yard. Loose wires coming off the back of the house and empty light sockets filled with mud and insects.
The kitchen is the only updated room with newer appliances, although the design space is not good.
Boat House – The boat house was basically unusable. The bathroom shower was filthy and there were no kitchen utensils. The only furniture in the room was a very stained dirty sofa. Very musty smell and no A/C.
Interaction With Landlord – When we first contacted the landlord he was responsive and agreed to supply the items we were missing (linens, towels, bath mats and coffee maker) but when we pressed him about the condition of the property he became very belligerent. We explained that his pictures and property description provided a deceptive picture of the true condition of this rental, and that we were very upset and disappointed. As we described some of the points of concern, he lost his temper with us. He was incredibly hostile and unprofessional. Most of the homes in this area are exquisitely beautiful, and anyone renting a home at this address would be completely unprepared to find such a filthy and untended property. We certainly feel ripped off for the amount of money we paid! We have many photos to document the condition.

The house was very clean upon arrival and there were plenty of spaces for everyone to either chill on their own or hang together. We spent hours each day at the private sandy beach and boat house. There were kayaks and canoes and many inflatables first lazy floating in the calm water. The walk down to the boathouse is a little steep but once there we could stay for hours as the boathouse has a kitchen and full bath. My son and I took the kayaks out and saw egrets, swans, a blue heron and seals!! I almost capsized the kayak when the seals appeared so close to the kayak!
The owner was extremely responsive to questions we asked and even called the day after check in to make sure everything was to our satisfaction and to see if we had any questions. This was a perfect spot for a socially distanced getaway.

Beautiful views
Beautiful house with beautiful views. New kitchen and an eating area that overlooks the garden and kettle pond was so relaxing. Family room very spacious and also with great views of pond. We used the boat house all day with canoeing and kayaking enjoyed by entire family. Very quiet on pond and inside the house. Also the bike trail is so close and easy to bike to.
Will definitely come again.

My family and closest friends stayed at Yiping's lovely house the other week and had a wonderful time! Yiping is a very attentive and kind host, and the week was just what we needed!
We were very excited to successfully catch lots of stripers off our own personal dock at the house- it was a most successful fishing trip! We also rented a boat and did some fishing in Nantucket Sound where we caught all sorts of other fish. Super-fun for the adults and the older kiddos!
The personal beach on the pond at the house was a perfect play area for our 2.5 year-old twins - they had a blast, and the waters were nice and calm for the young members of our group. We were all delighted to see a seal pop its head out of the pond waters! It was cute. For a moment I was nervous a shark could be about, but the waters are very shallow, and I imagine they can't get into the pond so easily.
It was easy to drive to Harwich and Chatham to walk around - places were not crowded, so it was easy to do a bit of shopping without coming too close to other people given the pandemic.
Advice for beach-goers - go after 4pm - you don't have to pay for parking then, and the beaches clear out if you're trying to avoid large gatherings. Be careful swimming in the waters - they're shark-infested!
It was a hot week and we were thankful for the new A/C at the house- we were comfortable throughout the stay. The house is on the older side and could use some updating, but this is minor. We had some issues with the cleaning crew not doing a stellar job, but Yiping was quick to rectify the situation and to make sure the cleaning crew had the information they needed to do a perfect job next time.
All in all, it was a fabulous stay! I'd recommend this property and the owner to other families looking for a nice retreat :)

The dock and boat house located right on a sandy stretch of beach accommodated my 20' boat perfectly. The house is located up on a hill and the walk down to the beach takes a minute. The only thing I thought was missing was an outside shower. Other then that is was fantastic. I would definitely go back again during the summer.

Restful and Relaxing Stay on the Cape!

Family vacation
Our extended family of 8 adults had a fantastic stay for the 4th of July week. The house is in a beautiful location right on the water with a nice dock and new boathouse. We spent much of our time down there relaxing. The house was perfect for our family and everything was clean and well-equipped. We were especially worried about the cleanliness during these Covid-19 times, but the cleaning crew was more than thorough. And the owner, Yiping was incredibly responsive to us at all times. We would definitely go back there.

Fall getaway
Beautiful property exactly as described. Yiping was very easy to work w - my elderly mother was not able to go down to the boathouse bc of the steep incline but was still able to enjoy the water views from the house above. Each room had individual heaters, which allowed us to keep the temperature as we wanted and not have to heat the parts of the house we didnt use. So nice to have my dogs w me and for them to run around freely! (Just watch out for ticks!) I would definitely come again next time i was in the area! And having fresh filtered water already in the fridge was nice! Thank you!

We had a wonderful family vacation at this beautiful property. The location is perfect if you seek a quiet relaxed visit, but it is not too far from the Route 28 action. Tons of food choices nearby.
The beach and dock were great for kids swimming and fishing. Kayaks were too.

Great getaway for the family
We had a great time- kids were able to swim, catch fish, snails, hermit crabs in the lake. We rode our bikes around the neighborhood and on the rail trail. House was very clean and Yiping was very accommodating and attentive. He even brought us our clothes that we left in the dryer after we checked out!

Perfect family getaway
Since we had young children in our group it was wonderful having easy access to a clean private beach just down the hill behind the home, and the deck at the boat house is a great place to sit and watch the sun set. Views of the trees and water from the windows at the back of the house and back patio are peaceful. The kitchen is newly remodeled. Bedrooms are all a good size, and three of the 4 bedrooms have attached full bathrooms. One master bedroom is large enough to easily fit a travel crib beside the bed and still have a lot of room to move around. The neighborhood is residential, tucked-away from the main roads, and safe. The owner is attentive and communicative when needed. We highly recommend a stay at this property.

My family had a great time at this home which overlooks Follins Pond. Great views and kayaking fun. Nicely located between Dennis and Yarmouth. Great for family get togethers.

Classic Old Cape Experience
This place is truly a compound, with complete privacy on more than two acres directly on the lake. The property has a clear, sandy beach, and since Follins Pond was surprisingly warm for late May, the kids were able to enjoy a swim.
Our group used the three kayaks multiple times, and there was a nice deck off the boathouse, which was great for watching the sunset. We also caught several big striped bass right off the dock.
The Cape Cod Rail Trail is only one mile from the house, so we were able to ride to the entrance, and once there, we enjoyed all sorts of sights including a horse property, locals fishing near bridges, cranberry bogs, and a great little winery we stopped at mid-point of our ride.
Recent improvements have been made to the house (kitchen, master bathroom) to help bring things up to date. There are a lot of doors to get in and out of the house, which is great for a group who gets up at different times. Parts of the house are dated, but historic and charming. The grounds are absolutely spectacular and very private, with panoramic views of the lake from the house. The scenic neighborhood is quiet and beautiful as well.
The kitchen and one main bath were recently renovated, were functional and looked great. Our visit was in the beginning of the summer season, so the house had probably not been totally opened yet, but the owner was very responsive to any issues and questions we had.
All in all, we are a group that has been vacationing together for a long time, and this home was the perfect home base for the ten of us to enjoy a terrific time at the Cape.

lovely Cape Cod retreat
Yiping has a beautiful spacious piece of property that allowed the nine of us spread out and enjoy our week away. The private dock, swimable bay, and use of kayaks made our stay quite special. Owner was attentive to repairs needed to dock and took care of it promptly.
Not a five star because of the inability to cool off the large house during the oppressive heat wave during July. However, the family had a wonderful Cape Cod experience.

Fantastic Cape Cod Getaway
Yiping's place has it all! A huge patio, an excellent view of the water, and plenty of space are just a few of the highlights of this one-of-a-kind property. Our group had no idea that there was a large boathouse down the hill from the main house - the place is quite a complex. All of the rooms were spacious and very comfortable. The dock and deck are perfect for lounging around and taking in the view, and we enjoyed using the kayak and canoe to explore the lake. "Peaceful" certainly describes the property well. Yiping was a great host, and we all hope to come back to his place someday!
