Very cozy, clean well organized abode. All mechanicals worked well. Very quiet and secluded location well placed in trees and natural landscaping.

back yard with mature trees, spacious deck. The decode with wainscoting was darling. The three bathrooms and bedrooms gave a plenty of space. Clean and lovely

The cottage is cute and cozy. Super comfortable for just the two of us. Great location for many activities, but no nearby beach access, which didn’t bother us. We didn’t have to contact the owner during our stay, as his emailed instructions were clear, but previous contacts were responded to remarkably quickly by the host.

This is the perfect getaway spot for peaceful relax and rejuvenation. Completely charming little cottage tucked-away in the trees oozes character and provides a hideaway or a base for exploring the local area. Has everything that one needs to enjoy quiet time, do some cooking, chill by the fire or relax in big comfy chairs reading a book. We thoroughly enjoyed making a big welcoming fire and sipping on a glass of wine while surrounded by peaceful Michigan woods - complete with wild deer wandering past! The cottage can sleep up to 6 people if necessary but we’ve enjoyed it twice with just the two of us - and it’s perfect. Love this spot, hope to come back sometime.

It was a cozy little house, in a great location. Close to a main highway, but off the road enough where there wasn't much traffic. Charming house with basically all that you need for a nice stay. Short drives to restaurants and other local places. Really wonderful time!

A VERY WELL APPOINTED AND CLEAN COTTAGE WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE, VIA A LOVLEY LITTLE ROAD THRU THE WOODS, TO LAKE MICHIGAN. WE PLAN TO STAY HERE AGAIN. AS THIS APPEARS TO BE THE THE HOST FAMILIES PRIVATE COTTAGE IT WAS ESPECIALLY WELL STOCKED WITH KITCHEN WARE AND DINNER SERVICE SO THAT WAS NICE TO HAVE. NEXT TIME I WILL NOT DRAG SO MUCH OF MY OWN COOKING STUFF. I ALSO LIKED THAT THERE WERE EXTRA TOWELS JUST IN CASE.

Perfect birthday getaway. This house location was perfect. It was close to almost everything, including the beach and only 15 minute drive to New Buffalo.
The house was really clean and a great home away from home. Glad I chose to stay here and I’ll definitely rent again in the future!

The house was welcoming and comfortable for 2 parents and 3 teens. It was very nice to have 3 bathrooms but the drain in the master was slow. We kept our clothes in the suitcase because the drawers were full and there weren’t any extra hangers in the closet.
The location of the house was excellent. The area restaurants, bakeries, tasting rooms, small towns and state park we’re easily assessable. The beach and water were so beautiful. Overall, we had a fabulous family vacation.

A lovely gathering with friends
Our stay in this charming little cottage was the perfect spot to connect and catch up as friends.
The atmosphere and location of the house felt just right. It was close enough to walk to the Swedish Bakery (excellent food!) and only an 8 minute drive to the dunes.
We utilized the whole house, including the back porch and the fire pit. Our favorite place to hang out was the living room. The couch was perfectly cozy and a great spot for conversation.
The host made it easy for arrival and departure with clear instructions and with all of the amenities we needed accounted for.
We also stayed cool in the house in the middle of summer, which brought ease and comfort to our stay.

Adorable Cottage
We enjoyed our stay very much. We enjoyed sitting out on the deck where we observed deer, turkeys, and and different speices of birds. There's plenty of outdoor space that is nicely shaded. Even though it was quite warm outside, the cottage stayed cool enough with just the windows open. There is a small public beach just down the road called Cherry Beach which we enjoyed very much. Also, Warren Dunes Beach is much larger and very close by. Abdallah responded very quickly with our rental request and question once we got there. The cottage is very nicely decorated. The beds and pillows are very comfortable. The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful. It is a short drive to nearby cities. There are beach chairs and umbrella in the garage which we used for the beach. Would love to come back to this charming little oasis!

A darling cottage near shopping and beaches.
We had everything we needed and found this property was close to all the highlights of our trip. Unfortunately, due to staff shortages, local establishments were either closed or very limited hours. Regardless, I would recommend this home to anyone.

Perfect romantic hideaway!
From the outset this was the easiest experience. The cabinet itself is perfectly tucked away and accurately described on the VRBO website. Communication with our host was easy and prompt and we had everything that we could possibly need. We cooked in and the house was well equipped with equipment. We thoroughly enjoyed the open fire, while watching movies and chilling out. A great place to escape to for a few days.

Sweet Cottage
I’ve been wanting to book this cottage for some time… nearly last minute changes with Thanksgiving plans allowed me to do so.
She’s a charming 1920s lake cottage. Totally redone and written up in the early aughts for Midwest Living magazine. Great bones. She’s a bit tired and suffers from benign neglect. She just needs some love. The side screened door seems to be hanging on by a prayer-this is your first impression. The couch is super comfy (we had very chilly, gloomy weather) but is in desperate need of a clean.
With that said, the cottage in general was clean. The beds quite decent. The bathrooms clean-water pressure good, with the exception of the upstairs shower. Ample towels. The upstairs bedroom gets extraordinarily hot- popping open a few windows really helped.
The fireplace was the star- we had a fire every day. It draws well and is easy to tend. Be prepared to bring your own wood..
If you’re going to cook a largish meal, you might want to bring a small card table- so you can spread out, as counter space is rather limited.
Also know, there are no instructions/specific information for the local attractions (restaurant recommendations, etc), beach (which is a bit of a walk)information and the various remotes. Used to finding a binder/folder with this type of useful information in it.
We did have a nice stay and enjoyed ourselves.

Sisters Weekend Fall 2021
The Lady Bug Cottage is adorable! We enjoyed our stay, had a couple night with an indoor fire, went for a walk, went down to the lake and enjoyed a few restaurants. Sisters time together is never long enough. Next time we go for 5 days Thank you from all my sisters ♥️🐞

This was our favorite rental property in the area. The house was perfect for two adults and two children, but we could have fit more people inside. The location, amenities, and cleanliness were appreciated. The beds were comfortable, and that was important for our family. I look forward to visiting the Lady Bug house again!

Nice visit in nice house
The house is very well situated on a side street close to the
Red Arrow Highway. The owner was great with all communication, answering our concerns promptly. Our problems stemmed not with the house but with the current labor shortage following the pandemic. A broken screen door prevented our using it to get a breeze in the evenings; no one was available to fix it. We chose to be there midweek, thinking of less crowding at beaches. Currently most restaurants and shops only open Thursday-Sunday and we left on Thursday morning.
None of this reflects on the house, which was a very nice place to spend a few nights.

Kitchen was adequately stocked, bedrooms spacious and bathrooms plentiful. Loved the washer / dryer option for beach towels and wet beach stuff. We rented bikes and rode all over the area.
The only itty bitty thing I was looking for - would’ve been a fan upstairs in the attic. It gets a bit hit up there.
I asked Abdallah if we could stay forever and he said ‘no’. Ha ha. We’ll definitely rent again.

fantastic GIRLS weekend
This was the best place for 5 women to get together and have a fun weekend. The spot is perfect area for enjoying nature and it is so quit. Sweet cottage with a magical location!
We loved our stay at the Ladybug Lodge! It was even better than what we expected. Lovely location and beautiful trails to the beach nearby. We walked the trails to sunset each night, but drove with all of our beach gear to enjoy the beach during the day. Great central location to explore all around this beautiful area, on foot or in your car! Abdallah was responsive and helpful with any questions. Thank you!!

We enjoyed Harbert Woods, the beautiful beaches, and Warren Dunes Park 3 miles away. The house is spacious and cheerful and comfortably furnished. We've stayed in several places in this wonderful area and this was the best.
