This is a lovely hostel with a breezy terrace that's open all day. The staff are fantastic, the kitchen is well equipped, and the beds are comfortable. There's a boat jetty nearby, with boats to the mall for around 15 quetzales and to the village across the lake for just 5–10 quetzales. There, you can visit a fascinating Mayan archaeological site that is still being excavated, easily reached via an excellent canopy walkway. Don't miss this hidden gem!
The air conditioning in the room was rather excessive. A temperature of around 25°C would be much more comfortable and should be kept as the standard.

We stayed in the double room with toilet, which has a lake view to boot. It’s very comfortable and modern.
The hostel also has a great location by the river with gorgeous views from the kitchen/shared room upstairs.

Good location in Flores, cheap
No room to put stuff away in room which meant the rooms are really untidy with stuff everywhere.
A very unprofessional member of staff who was working at 6am the day I left who was really drunk and slurring his words surrounded by beer bottles. He was also screaming at someone hysterically on the phone which was really scary. Apparently there was an incident where some guests stole beer from the fridge but I wouldn’t be surprised if they did because he was so drunk. I also emailed the manager who didn’t take this seriously so I would feel weary to book this hostel especially for solo female travellers.
