About this condo rental

Located in Crescent Beach, this attractive condo for $159 per night is a great choice for your next trip. >>> BEFORE CHOOSING PAM'S PALM PLACE, we strongly encourage you to click "Read entire overview" and read through the full description of things you should know about our little condo.>> WHAT IS PAM'S PALM PLACE? Pam's Palm Place is part of Beacher's Lodge condo complex located on St. Augustine's Crescent Beach, or as the locals call it, South Beach--just ten miles south of the old town of St. Augustine, the oldest city in America. Although Beacher's Lodge was built in the '80s and many of the condos have never been updated, that's not the case with Pam's Palm Place. We recently spent over $35,000 updating this unit with new electrical, plumbing, drywall, paint, flooring, cabinets, quartz countertops, appliances, tiled bath and shower, leather living room furniture, mattress, TV, kitchenware, and patio furniture. We've been told by several employees at the complex that we have the nicest unit in the entire complex. We're certain you'll love what we've done with the place. We strive to give you a 5-star experience. This condo is small--only 400 square feet. We don't want you to be caught off guard by the size. We have, however, maximized the layout to make it feel roomy. It is on the first floor and conveniently located in the middle of the complex giving it great access to the stairs, handicapped ramp, parking, pool, and beach access. The best part about being on the first floor is the patio. You still have an ocean view, but you don't have to look through the railing when you're on our patio, and it feels private--as if you're the only ones there. Even though it's on the first floor, you can feel safe because the lower level of the complex is fenced in. >>> PETS: Sorry, NO PETS ALLOWED. Pam suffers from severe allergies, and therefore, we can not allow pets inside our rental condo. Sorry, I like my wife more than I like your pet. >>> BEDROOM: The bedroom has a queen storage bed along with a small closet area and TV. The bedroom also has a ceiling fan and its own AC. When the weather's right, you can open the bedroom window and the patio door and enjoy the breeze. >>> LIVING ROOM: The living room is furnished with a full-size sleeper sofa, TV, and small dining table. There's also a leather recliner so you can kick your feet up and watch the shrimp boats on the horizon while dozing off for an afternoon nap. >>> KITCHEN: The kitchen has lots of cabinet space to store your food supplies. We furnish cookware and all the utensils you need to cook and feel at home, including a microwave/convection oven, two-burner glass cooktop, blender, toaster, and coffee maker that uses grounds or K-cups. There's also a starter supply of coffee, paper towels, and everything you'll need to wash the dishes before you check out. >>> BATHROOM: The bathroom is tiled floor to ceiling and is absolutely stunning. The unit does not have a bathtub. It does, however, offer an easy-in, easy-out, step-in shower. We supply four bath towels, hand towels, washcloths, a starter supply of shampoo, conditioner, soap, toilet paper, disinfectant wipes, Kleenex, and a hairdryer. >>> PATIO: Sip your morning coffee and watch the sun come up in one of our top-of-the-line Adirondack chairs, or work on your tan in the lounge chair with an ottoman. And there's no need to spend money on beach chairs and umbrellas because we provide them for you. >>> POOL/BEACH: The boardwalk to the beach is at the south end of the complex between units 107 and 108. Pam's Palm Place is unit 118, so we are just steps from the beach and even closer to the heated pool. Crescent Beach is considered by locals to be the most peaceful beach around. The beach is very spacious, and as the tide goes out, it leaves behind a giant natural wading pool. >>> LAUNDRY/ICE Our condo does not have a washer/dryer inside the unit. However, there are coin operated laundry rooms on both the south and north ends of the complex. This is also where you'll find the ice machines. >>> RESTAURANTS/GROCERIES: You will love the location of this unit. There are restaurants within walking distance and another 30 or so along the five-mile drive into St Augustine proper, including the popular Salt Life, Oasis, and Sunset Grill. There is a convenience store only one block away where you can buy fuel, snacks, beer, and wine, and it's just one mile to a Dollar General and four miles to Publix or Wynn Dixie. >>> ATTRACTIONS: St. Augustine is home to some of the best seafood restaurants in all of Florida, and with more than 100 restaurants to choose from, there's something for everyone's taste. Shopping is never boring on the streets of Old Town. It's part of the draw to our city. Of course, there are touristy things galore. But don't forget that St. Augustine is the oldest city in America, and that means history. So, no matter what floats your vacation boat, you'll never run out of things to do if you decide to take a break from the beach. Here are a few of the many things we suggest: Alligator Farm Castillo de San Marcos, a.k.a. "The Fort" Farmer's Market at Pier (Wednesday mornings) Farmer's Market at Amphitheatre (Saturday mornings) Fort Matanzas Fort Menedez Historical horse-drawn carriage rides Marineland Dolphin Adventure Oldest Wooden School House Pena-Peck House Pirate and Treasure Museum Potter's Wax Museum Ripley's Believe It or Not Saint Augustine Amphitheater Saint Augustine Lighthouse Spanish Military Hospital Museum St. George Street shopping The Colonial Quarter The Fountain of Youth The Lightner Museum The Old Jail Tour of Flagler College Trolly tour of St. Augustine Outlet Mall Villa Zorayda Museum Washington Oaks Gardens State Park Whetstone Chocolate Factory Ximeneze-Fatio House Museum Or, when in doubt, eat a popsicle at the Hyppo! This was the perfect spot for a weeklong stay with my husband. Recently renovated and tastefully decorated with quality furnishings and lots of available storage for our belongings. The place was sparkling clean and the bed was super comfortable. We were provided everything we needed for our stay - including nice new beach towels, chairs and umbrellas. Great location with a short walk to the clean, peaceful beach. Comfy outdoor chairs on the private patio to enjoy the sunrises with a cup of coffee. Only a short drive to St Augustine with lots to see and do - even in rainy weather. Amazing communication with the host, Kevin. He gave us very clear instructions, check in was a breeze and he was easy to reach with questions. Really a very positive experience overall!

Betty and I visited in order to getaway for a warm weather vacation in December. Although the weather was a bit cooler than expected, the hosts couldn’t have been warmer or more attentive. The condo was nicely furnished and supplied with everything one would need for a short stay. Thank you for being such great, attentive hosts! Patrick and Betty

The condo was perfect for 2 people & beautifully decorated. Kevin provided information on the condo, check in, the area, etc. a week ahead of our arrival that was very helpful. He made a point of being available to reach out to as needed & was very sincere & kind. The patio view is amazing as well as the beach. The condo is not far from all the St Augustine attractions, dining, etc. Wish we had another day there to relax. We highly recommend & hope to return some day.

My husband and I stayed at Pam’s Palm Place from August 19 – August 26. This lovely little condo is the perfect beach retreat. It is beautifully and simply decorated. The bed, sofa and outdoor patio furniture are of good quality and comfy. The view from the patio is beautiful and is perfectly shady in the afternoons and evenings. The owners have thought about all the little details from the basics, such as paper towels and starter toiletries, to quality beach chairs and umbrellas. We loved the Bose Bluetooth speaker! Although we didn’t do any real cooking while on vacation, it appears that the kitchen equipment provided is more than adequate to fix simple meals. The owners are available by email, phone and text and provide excellent and detailed check-in instructions complete with spot on recommendations for local dining and activities. The condo is small, but if you are beach people like us, it is all you need. We did not feel at all cramped and there is plenty of closet space in the bedroom, as well as storage under the bed. As for the area, we love Crescent Beach. The wide, white sand beach is perfect and it’s just a short drive away from old St. Augustine. There are plenty of restaurants close by and Tony’s Pizza across the street is not only super convenient, but may possibly make the best meat lover’s pizza in the world! Full service grocery stores are within a short drive.
