The building has been tastefully updated and is a good show case of Victorian style inside. The food was a big surprise. Excellent dinner and one of the best breakfasts I have had in the UK as a whole. The owners were proud to share the work they have done on the estate which is amazing. They work very hard to please their guests and will accommodate most all requests. They have an incredible garden there which they use to supply portions of the meals. The black currents were fantastic. I highly recommend the Isla Bank. One of the best stays we have had in the UK. Nick and Vena have done a great job.
Took us a night to get used to the chalk board direction signs to go to the right rooms for meals. but I think that was user error. They are very well organized at Isla Bank, I regret that we didn't have more time to stay but would love to come back.

Its alot, I liked the great service from Vena & Nick, the dinner meals and the different options, bathroom/bedroom facilities, location, and the esthetic of the property.

Lovely old statley home
Lots of rules , cold water not much hot water, shower system is not very good .

No external lights very difficult entrance system
