About this house rental
Located in La Quinta, this lovely house for $345 per night is a great choice for your next trip. "The Desert Haven", a beautifully decorated home is perfect for entertaining! The owner, a Palm Springs area luxury interior designer, has created a warm and inviting space, inside and out. This home features a 2400 sq. ft. open floor plan with volume ceilings, 4 bedrooms (one with French doors/separate entry off the front courtyard); 3 bathrooms; a game room loft with a pool table; four smart TV's, and so much more. The property includes an elegantly landscaped backyard where you will enjoy the spectacular mountain sunsets from the private saltwater pool and spa. The Desert Haven is conveniently located less than 5 miles to the Coachella Music Festival/ Stagecoach event center. Stay in March and watch the BNP Paribas Open Tennis Tournament, also located at the IWTG, or take in the nationally recognized La Quinta Arts Festival in Old Town La Quinta. For those guests flying in, the home is less than 20 miles east of Palm Springs airport. Come visit The Desert Haven, any time of the year, you won't be disappointed! In booking your reservation, please let us know if you would like the pool heated for your stay. To heat the spa is no extra charge but we do ask for compensation to cover the pool heating costs. It takes a full extra day ahead to fully heat, we charge $150. for your first day and $100. each additional day.

This beautiful home is well appointed and clean. We enjoyed the beautifuly landscaped back yard and heated spa. The game room with pool table, games, puzzles, and TV were perfect for relaxing evenings and watching football. There is plenty of space for 6 adults to relax without feeling crouded. The kitchen is well equiped for cooking, the appliances worked well, there was plenty of hot water for 6 adults, the linens are fresh, and the beds wonderfully comfortable. This home fully met our expectations for a family reunion. We would definitely rent this home again.

The owners clearly have the gift of hospitality. House is perfectly clean, well decorated, well stocked. You know that they are sharing a HOME with you, not just renting a property. Owners were readily available if we had needs or questions during the stay. Excellent experience.

This was truly an oasis in the desert. This was our first visit to La Quinta and this place was everything we had hoped for and more, giving our family a quiet place to relax and enjoy the beautiful property.
The location was great, close to all the necessary amenities while still providing the privacy and comfort of a home away from home.
Our kids loved being able to enjoy the incredible pool and seating areas throughout the backyard as well as the many board games/pool table in the loft. Chris and Michelle were wonderful and made sure we had everything we needed.
We would highly recommend this home for families young and old.

Every great thing said about this property in the other reviews is 100% accurate. The home is beautiful, perfectly appointed and well suited for both adults and children. To add, the owners are super responsive. I'll definitely be back and highly recommend this property. Thanks for having us!

The property was lovely, clean and very comfortable. The owners were great with communicating and even came by to drain the pool as there was a rain storm. We had 4 adults and 4 kids and had plenty of room to hang out. The pool was clean and nice, it has a shelf step which was perfect for the little ones. One thing I really enjoyed was the water pressure, lol. I know it’s silly, but it’s really nice to shower with great water pressure after being in a pool all day! Overall we would totally stay again!

What an amazing stay! The owners were amazing… from booking to arrival and throughout our stay. So thankful to have come across this property. Traveling with opinionated teenagers and young adults can be challenging… but when all agree hands down this was their favorite vacation that definitely speaks volumes! We will definitely book again.

This home has everything! Enough space that 4 of us had our own separate areas and plenty of privacy. A beautiful secluded backyard for relaxing. Gorgeous pool that we spent hours in. To top it off, the most wonderful hosts, great communication and perfect accomodations. This is THE home to rent, look no further! We will definitely be back. “Desert Haven” is a beautiful, spacious home that is very tastefully decorated. The yard is huge, nicely landscaped and very inviting with a lovely pool and hot tub. Extremely comfortable inside and out for our group of 8. And hosts, Chris and Michelle, made our stay hassle free. They made arrival and departure incredibly easy, were immediately available and overly considerate . We had a great week and plan to return!

This was and amazing property - even better than pictured in photos. Hosts weee wonderful I’m communications and the house was stocked with everything. I only wish we had more time to relax and play at the property, but we’re there for our daughter’s wedding weekend so on the run. I hope to rebook and stay to enjoy the property more fully another day.

Really pleased with our stay at Desert Haven!
Not only was everything very guest oriented (simple instructions, thoughtful amenities/supplies), but also everything was well kept and clearly looked after.
Key niceties:
- beautiful open layout with well matched furnishings
- coffee, wine (and cookies!) waiting for us, the weary traveling family (so very, very appreciated)
- comfy beds, including a kids bunk room with a kids desk and little fun surprise toys inside
- beautiful and spacious backyard with plenty of outdoor game options (cornhole, soccer, bocci)
- easy to use spa controls with indoor control and temp monitor (great for the cooler winter nights)
- lots of well kept pool toys, floaties, beach towels
- great cookware and kitchen appliances
- laundry well located on the main level, ready to use
- stocked showers with pretty astounding water pressure and shampoo/conditioner/soap dispensers
- well kept billiards table in the loft game room
- tons of game choices, both for kids and adults
- full sized ping pong table
- etc.
Bottom line is that this is a well cared for owner-managed property that makes extra efforts to make things easy, relaxing and resort-like. We very much appreciated the chance to enjoy all the owners thoughtful planning and upkeep!

Our family vacation was a delight thanks to this house and its yard. The nieces spent 80% of their time in the beautiful pool and hot tub. Any issues we had, Chris was very responsive to. Would definitely rent again!

Wow! Is a good description …the property is a wow…the house is a wow …and the amenities are a wow! And then there is Chris and Michelle , WOW you went above and beyond to make my adult and gkids Christmas special…somehow Santa magically appeared on Christmas Eve ...the welcome the gift of the ginger bread house etc. lets you know they put thought into who is renting their beautiful home…they went out their way for us …the tree was beautiful!

This was a great location convenient to our events. Perfect space for adults and children to hang out. Kids loved the pool!

My family and I stayed an entire week. It was a memorable experience. The house and pool were perfect for us. Clean, spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed the pool table in the game room too! During our stay, there was a sand storm, a haboob, that came through the desert valley creating a mess in the backyard and pool. The owners were AMAZING!! I received a text within minutes of the storm from the owners offering to come out and clean the pool and patio. There was a heavy layer of sand and leaves everywhere. They took care of it the next morning and everything was perfectly clean again. Absolutely wonderful communication and attention. We loved the extra treats that they had for us when we first arrived. Excellent experience and highly recommended. Thank you both so much for everything!

Our entire family went on the trip my husband, adult son, wife and our 3 year old grandson and our adult daughter and husband. We had a wonderful relaxing long weekend and we all enjoyed the beautiful pool.

We had such an amazing visit at this house. The pool is absolutely gorgeous, you feel like you truly are somewhere far away and tropical. There are tons of pool floats and toys to use. The house has so much space - great for multiple families - and has everything you could possibly need and more - board games, books, and a super stocked kitchen. Everything was super clean when we arrived with very clear instructions for using things in the house. Chris and Michelle are wonderful hosts. Communication was so easy and they even had treats waiting for us when we arrived. We would definitely rent this house again and highly recommend it.

The pictures online do not do this home justice. Beginning of the pandemic (2020), we started a new tradition to take our kids on a "mini" staycation (we are from LA) the week before school starts. By far, this home has been the best. The property is in excellent condition, the neighborhood is nice (close to all the stores), excellent communication with the owners and the pool is THE BEST! We were prepared to pay the additional cost to heat the pool, but the owners advised the pool is pretty warm and did not want us to spend extra money. They were right and saved us money (WIN!). If in the La Quinta area, this is the place to stay.

We had a fabulous stay! The house is beautiful, even better than the pictures! There’s plenty of space to spread out and also lots of areas to congregate and enjoy games and family fun. The home is well-stocked, beautifully decorated and very clean. The pool is amazing. Communication was outstanding. We felt welcomed from start to finish and would highly recommend.
