Located in Hood River, this charming house for $204 per night is a great option for your next break. A comfortable house that is a wonderful way to enjoy the best of downtown Hood River. Decks, yard, steam room, and wonderful modern kitchen. Walking distance to town, with offerings of great restaurants, shopping, massage, music, theater and so much more. Plus it is set up as a great resting point for all the activities available in the Scenic area. This home is great for a couple families to share, with separate living areas. A guest suite on the lower level provides privacy. Extra room for the kids to spread out. 4 bedroom, 3 bath, plus a sofa-sleeper. Outdoor BBQ. 3 level decks. Private yard. Lic #: 469 Sorry no AMEX.

We've just returned from a wonderful visit to the charming town of Hood River along the stunning Columbia River Gorge. We had a lovely stay at this centrally located home - only a 10-15 minute walk to downtown Hood River with easy access to the highway.
We were in Hood River for the wedding of our son and appreciated the large home where we and our three adult children (sibs of the groom) could comfortably stay for four days during the wedding activities. The mountain view is beautiful and a stream next to the house is unique. The large yard would be great during warm weather stays - we didn't have time to really take advantage of it. But there's a play structure for kids as well as a good size lawn area. Additionally, the deck off the main level is perfect for outdoor time.
The bedrooms were comfortable and the downstairs guest suite, with its own bathroom and living space, offered additional privacy for our daughter. The upstairs bedrooms share one small but fully equipped bathroom and we ended up using the main level bathroom (which is very nice and larger) as one of our main bathrooms. We didn't need to use the additional downstairs space, maybe it's converted into a large bonus room. But it would be perfect if school age or preteen kids are in your group. The kitchen is well equipped. Our host Amy was easily accessible for a few questions we had and quickly responded during our stay.

This property, location and home were perfectly and accurately represented. We were in Hood River for our son’s wedding and the house was exactly what we had hoped for in accommodating our young adult kids and our year and a half granddaughter. Thank you so much. We had a great experience.

We are thankful to have found such a nice place that we could gather with multiple generations as we attended a family wedding. Amy, the host was easy to deal with. The best part was the well appointed kitchen and the beautiful adjoining great room. I could have easily given this a five star but the only tricky part was the bathroom situation which wasn’t clear on the description or I didn’t catch it. The best bathroom in the house was on the first floor and there was no bedroom on that floor. The upstairs bathroom with the most rooms had a very high tub/ shower that was hard to get into. This was only a problem bc of the age of our guest and the fact we were often showering all at the same time for the different wedding events. My 87 year old mom ended up sleeping down stairs but using the 1st floor bathroom to shower which wasn’t ideal but manageable.

The CreekSide house design easily accommodated our extended family of 10. And the open kitchen dining living area was a great gather place for everyone at our family reunion. The rushing waters of the creek softly put us to sleep every night. Well done!

We loved the house. It was great for a big multigenerational family. The downstairs rooms gave kids a place to play and the play structure in back was good for them. It needs some repair to be totally safe. The kitchen was well outfitted. The stream was much-loved.

When we first reserved this home the posting made it sound like it was in a private, more remote area. It is actually very close to homes on each side. It was lacking curtains in the basement bedrooms and had some issues related to poor upkeep. Overall, we had a nice stay but would probably choose another home next time.

We enjoyed our stay at the VRBO in Hood River. It was walking distance to the downtown area. We had 2 families here for a wedding and the basement appartment was great because of that. A few of us really enjoyed the steam shower and the views from the decks were AMAZING! The upstairs A/C was out and the windows didn't have any screens so we took a chance and opened them up so we would not get too hot. The neighborhood was very friendly and quiet. Beautiful town!

We enjoyed a week with the family at this house. There was plenty of space for everyone and the sound of the creek was pleasant. The kids especially liked the playroom.

We were very please with this property. It is a short walk to downtown which was very convenient. Everyone from the neighborhood we met was very friendly. The house is spacious and well kept. It has a great kitchen which we used to prepare Thanksgiving dinner. There is a playroom off of one of the bedrooms full of toys that our grandkids really enjoyed. The swing set in the backyard we another plus for the kids. The balconies over look a little of the town and the Columbia River with a beautiful view of Mount Adams in the background. Amy was very responsive to my questions. If we come back to Hood River we will absolutely try to reserve it again.

We had the best time in Hood River! The property was clean and spacious for our group. We enjoyed gathering on the large couch and dining table, playing games and enjoying each others company. It’s a short walk into town, which we really appreciated. All in all, great stay!

The creek lends a calming, peaceful background sound, and the view of Mount Hood is gorgeous. The steam shower was a bonus! The house is in a great location as well. Highly recommend!

Great location. Clean, plenty of towels and linens with well stocked kitchen. The upstairs soaking tube with shower was difficult to use due to height. During our stay the VRBO renter quickly any questions.

This is a really comfortable place to stay. The views are amazing, it is close to town and the stream makes it delightful. The freeway is very close and the sound is largely masked by the stream.
There were seven of us and there was plenty of room. If there had been more the couch and table would nave been a bit crowded.
The air conditioning was a life saver in the heart wave, and the floors of the bathrooms are have heat if you want, which would be amazing in the winter. Also there is a heated towel rack in the upstairs bathroom. I love these when it is cold.
There is a real feeling that it has never been lived in and there is random furniture that was bought to tick off required boxes. For instance, the bar seats are actually counter height. Very random.
Also the espresso machine wasn't working.
But, we had everything we needed, a really great time and the house is huge. 10 people sharing beds could definitely sleep there.

Amazing Location
The house is set on a beautiful piece of land with views of the Columbia. We loved listening to the sounds of the creek and the kids loved racing little foraged boats down it. The house was spacious and even though the AC was broken, the window units kept things cool in the bedrooms.
The BBQ was broken and quite dirty when we arrived, with a few of the grill arms being snapped and we were a little unsure if we could use it safely, but we managed.
House had all the amenities we needed including a few extra!
Great stay with an even better location.
