I'm only allowed 1500 characters, and that is not nearly enough to clearly describe what we found wrong about this property. There are safety issues, violations of the Ontario Building Code as regards handrails on stairs, loose stones in the outside stairs, the water heater in the second cottage blows the breaker (as reported in 2019), washer and dryer not useable, decks and dock have rot in them, second cottage stove and drawers smell of urine, internet was useless, pull out bed in second cottage still gross dirty, no dock ladder, concrete blocks hidden in water where people wanted to swim, electrical issues in the kitchen and secondary dining area where switch and outlet were covered with green painters tape, main cottage dishwasher tips out when opened, downstairs closet door not attached and will fall on you, broken floor tile in the kitchen, flashlights provided had no batteries or were severely corroded, bathroom ceiling paint peeling. Once we moved the concrete blocks we enjoyed the swimming and we worked around the cottage deficincies. This place has the potential to be great but it is not well maintained, needs a lot of carpentry, electrical, and fresh paint to come up to an acceptable standard.

The house should be ready and warm enough for people to stay (iT’S NOT) It’s cool like freezer and there were no light in the washroom and dinning room Regarding the garage, we have to spent 1hr. to dumping the garbage and also have to pay for each bag (It’s terrible and very inconvenience) This cottage is too old without renovating. The area is good but the house doesn’t match what was described in the description. The owner told us he would send someone out to fix the lighting for us but no one show up during our stay. Overall, it was a terrible experience staying here with our family for Christmas and we do not recommend it.
