Little beach was nice, except this is on a speedboat lake, so very noisy

Very expensive property, no breakfast included. And an empty mini bar. Very thin walls.

perfect view of the lake and the best staff

clean rooms and bathroom was hygienic excellent value for money very good recreational facilities for families location of rooms are very good offering direct view of the lake Joseph friendly and courteous staff, staff was the best as they greeted us everytime with a smile and were eager to help

no restaurants nearby apart from the one on site ac was a bit noisy amd beds a bit creaky

I liked that the staff were friendly and the bed was really comfy.

I did not like the fact that My credit card was charged for the deposit. Usually it’s just a hold. The room floor was dirty, was walking on pebbles. I also did not like that the window was facing the general public instead of directly looking at the lake which is what I thought I had requested when booking the king room.

the only thing we didn’t like was that we were charged for some amenities we didn’t use because our stay was so short (bikes, skis, etc.) it should be an option to pay for those, not mandatory.

The location and the inn are amazing Super quaint beautiful vibe Love the bar/ lounge/ fireplace area

I think the food can definitely improve especially in the vintages restaurant. It’s such a nice setting and wonderful team but the food was not very good especially for the money. The bar food was good. The breakfast was good also!

Exceptional

Room was extremely comfortable and homely. The best was super comfortable, and easy to sink into. The Staff were friendly and helpful, and able to give advice on the local area. The hotel is located in a great location, on the lake front and away from the main roads. It's quiet and peaceful and is a great place to stay. The breakfast had numerous options and extremely filling. Set me up for a day of exploring.

Only downside is that I didn't stay longer. Was only there one night. Wish it had been more!

Worth coming here and I will definitely come back again!

I absolutely loved the location, the property layout, the interiors, the decoration and last bit not least the hospitality of the staff. The property is absolutely beautiful and the Christmas decor was on point. The reception staff are some of the nicest people you will meet and the restaurant staff are so kind and hospitable as well. Our room was comfortable and had all the facilities needed in a hotel room and I absolutely loved the view from the room. It was clean and spacious too. The breakfast buffet was delicious as well, it was 100% worth coming to stay at Sherwood Inn.

Overall, we enjoyed our time at the hotel.

The restaurant on site is amazing. We also really enjoyed the private beach area and also sitting along the lake side to watch sunset. There are kayaks, pool noodles etc. available for use.

The location isn't the best because there really isn't any good food options around. And everything seems to be more expensive than Toronto. Overall, we enjoyed our time at the hotel. But if you are looking for sth more affordable to stay, you might want to consider other options.

Perfect fall getaway

We love the location on the shores of Lake Joseph in the Muskoka's. The restaurant and lounge had a wide range of choices in a wide price range. As it was off-season (mid-October) we didn't take advantage of the outdoor amenities like paddle boards, kayaks and fat bikes but we did enjoy sitting around the fire, after dinner, talking with other guests, and roasting marshmallows.

Nothing comes to mind. The staff were courteous and outgoing. Checking in and out was a breeze.

lovely, a great get away

beautiful setting. the staff were very pleasant and accommodating. the food was very good, although a bit pricey

the buildings are weary and need to be updated. and clearly more attention needs to be paid to maintenance.

Very good

Did not have breakfast because it was expensive in comparison with the menu. Ate locally.

Expected better view of the lake. I think breakfast could have been included in the stay at the inn as a complimentary like what most inns do.

Very enjoyable would definitely stay again when in the area.

The scenery was great...the food was very tasty....servers were friendly. Very considerate staff...privacy was appreciated. Enjoyed the chairs at the point to take in the scenery on the lake.

A few room upgrades would benefit the inn.
