Hotel Arimune

No elevator on the hotel so you have to lug you luggage up the stairs. The hotel staff is there to help

We loved staying here. It’s is so close to the most beautiful beach. We swam numerous times each day. There are great paths for hikes nearby. People are extremely friendly.

The place is a treasure in every sense - starting with the fact that it is one among the few (if not actually the only one!) vintage style older houses right on the beach among all the newer and rather faceless higher buildings on the first line. It is a family-run hotel and you can feel it all the time with the personal care and attention of the owners and the staff. Having a bottle of fine local wine in the courtyard facing the beach in the evening was a great experience, long to remember. Restaurants and pintxos bars are in walking distance along the beach promenade. The stylish interior of the rooms and the comfortable size of the bathrooms were also something to certainly praise!

Finding a parking place in the high season was quite of a challenge. It seems to be an issue for the entire village and not for the hotel itself, but it was a quest. The good point is that the large municipal parking is really close to the hotel (2 min. literally), but, being apparently the only one serving the entire beach, much patience is needed until you get the luck of some car going out just in front of yours... The single weak point of the hotel iteself to note was the fact that one of our rooms did not have AC (the other had and probably all will soon). It was not a major problem for us, but in hotter days those sensible to temperatures should probably check this in advance.

Staff were friendly and location was good if you’re looking to utilise the beach.

Think it was overpriced for what you get, although it was a lovely hotel there were no lifts or air con. Although they do provide fans we were on the top floor and it was still really hot. Don’t think would stay again think was over priced for the facilities available.
