Great location, mostly silent, unless your room faces the italian restaurant in the back of the hotel. Unbelievably comfortable bed, with down pillows and duvet, huge bed (1.8m). Amazing staff, most welcoming and helpful. The hotel lobby and lounge & retaurant area are aimply amazing, you feel like in an Agatha Christie novel 🙂 The food is so good, the personnel so attentive! I never felt so spoiled, this hotel has the old money, quiet luxury feel, you can see it has history ❤️❤️❤️
Room was ok but the decor is dated. The sinks are extremely inconvenient, you need to do gymnastics to use them, very good looking but very low functionality. The tub is quite difficult to access, getting in, and even more, getting out of the tub is an adventure - the tub is built-in and very high, I am 1.64 m and fully mobile and I had trouble getting out of it while wet. Issues with the Netflix connection. All small things, we would definetly stay here agaain!

Location -- Outstanding, both extremely attractive and extremely central. Room (in general) -- Outstanding, designed by someone with a really great 'eye'. The more time spent there, the more I admired how it was arranged. Hotel (other than room) -- Outstanding decor and experience
For some, the hotel would be a 'ten'. For us there were some reservations, narrow ones, about the hotel (1) The bathtub is so high and slippery that I could not recommend the hotel to my father (in his 80s). And I would need to mention this anywhere else I made a recommendation (2) The breakfast area is gorgeous. The food quality is perfectly fine, but the food range is more narrow than expected. So we had one excellent breakfast, but would have eaten many breakfasts outside if we had stayed a few days. (3) The gym is well-equipped but a bit tight on space

Very beautiful old building grand entrance; old style luxury…
Came in late from a flight from London; wanted a quick drink and nibble at the bar (it was after 22:00). Ordered a champagne (good selection by the glass and very nice) and some gyoza’s… After about 5m a blonde lady (I assume floor manager) came in an started berating the bartender for taking the food order. She did this within earshot, which i found fairly distasteful as that conversation could have been had away from customers. The bartender was very apologetic and explained that had changed the serving hours for food a month ago (imo that was all that needed to be said). When i left the hotel in the morning there was no doorman (Sunday morning not busy); went back in and the lady at reception had to order my taxi. PS the revolving door to get in is extremely awkward to get in when you have multiple pieces of luggage (guess what the doorman can actually fold them; if he’s there!). Overall pretty disappointing service at a fairly reputable establishment; would not choose to stay again!
