Wonderfully easy access when you need a flight from Schiphol: both train arrival and flight departure were within minutes' reach.
The price. So far, the Schiphol Sheraton was the most expensive room we've ever had, except for a hotel in Tahiti. We paid $445.33 for 1 night in the Schiphol Sheraton.
Three weeks later, we were in a 4 star hotel in Washington where the price was $125.- / night. The big difference is the room that was being offered in Washington: separate entry section with couch and TV, 2 double beds with another TV and a small office size area. A week before the Washington hotel, we were in a 4 star hotel in Sacramento (3-diamond AAA rating). Similar story: $152.90 / night and breakfast included.
We've been to other Sheratons in the past but the Schiphol's price was certainly inversely correlated to the room / amenities being offered in other hotels.

Room was located next to a service elevator/ ventilation shaft - was super noisy all night
