Mooi hotel in historische setting

Mooi hotel in een fantastische ambiance. Kamer is modern en voor ons te warm, ondanks dat de verwarming uit was en raam open. Prima bedden. Douche onhandig in bad en niet iets als je op leeftijd bent in verband met de hoge in stap. Fantastisch gegeten in het restaurant. Het ontbijt buffet was goed, echter niet super bijzonder en passend bij 5 sterren.

Stilvolles Hotel und sehr freundliches Personal

Freundlichkeit des Personals, die Location, der Lounge Bereich alles sehr schön und einladend. Das Zimmer war komfortabel und groß. Schön, dass man innerhalb des Zimmers auch noch eine Tür vorm Abschluss hatte.

Leider lag unser Zimmer direkt über der Küche und dem Eingang des Service Personals, so dass wir bereits morgens früh um 6:00 Uhr vom klappen der Töpfe und schlagenden Türen wach geworden sind.

Sehr freundliches, passt freundschaftliches Personal, sehr aufmerksam. Das Hotel ist ein Traum, altes Gemäuer mit Mega modernen Design.

Ontbijt was goed maar vorige keer kwamen ze met het eten naar de tafel Nu was het een buffet Vond ik persoonlijk wat minder. Zeker voor de prijs die je betaald had ik wel een amuse verwacht voor het diner Tafels op de binnenplaats mogen ook wel eens opnieuw geverfd worden ( beetje haveloos voor zo'n hotel De kunstbloemetjes bij de ingang geeft het geheel wat kermisachtigs Maar dat is een kwestie van smaak

rentrez voir la rénovation (très belle), à la rigueur un verre...mais pas de nuitée ou de repas.

la rénovation de l'hotel (la partie centrale de l'eglise) est TB

une chambre pour 3 à + de 500€ par nuit sans pdj doit etre parfaite : le 3e lit est un lit de camp au milieu de la chambre (certes de bon qualité mais un lit d'appoint). On est au RDC sans vue et la chambre etait tres froide (chauffage sur hors gel en arrivant). On vous offre un verre (welcome drink) et si vous souhaitez upgrader (payer un supplement) pour un cocktail (15€ piece) on ne vous deduit pas un centime et vous devez reclamer pour avoir qq cacahuetes..... Le repas est astronomique et 45' d'attente entre le plat et le dessert, là aussi tres froid (chauffage coupé ?). Bref pour un repas pour 3 personnes simple (sans alcool, cafe, dessert) une nuit (donc une personne sur lit de camp), pas de pdj, 780€ est du vol. je ne recommande PAS

Heel mooi en aangenaam

Ontbijt buffet zeer uitgebreid, extreem vriendelijk personeel, rustige kamer met zachte bedden. Kamer was modern ingericht en netjes. Bad en aparte douche aanwezig in onze kamer die was op het gelijkvloers

Er is niets tegen gevallen.

Great town, beautiful building, whacky rooms.

It is an impressive building in a great location. This converted church has the wow factor. The bar and restaurant facilities are good and the staff are friendly and efficient.

The designer rooms were rather impractical! There was a TV near the floor at the end of the bed, a plastic leprechaun in the shower and a light switch in the middle of the bathroom mirror.

Amazing hotel and Staff

Amazing hotel set in the old monastery. Fantastic room, spotlessly clean and large comfy bed. Staff are brilliant and go above and beyond to make your stay fantastic.

Very close to the Vrojthof arena where the concert was held.

The two rooms on the second floor had low ceilings but eventually we were given a ground floor room which was much better

Loved the accommodation - ultra modern setting housed in a former monastery.

Breakfast rating 2 star, it could be better. Not much of a selection to choose from.

Didnt enjoy the cooked breakfast. Bacon beyond crispy with a limited choice of powdered scrambled egg or boiled egg.

Loved every minute of our stay……staff are great……hotel layout and architecture is exquisite!

This is a fantastic hotel….breakfast and dinner exceptional….the whole ambiance of the hotel is something you will not regret trying out!

We are of an age where we have to get up several times during the night to relieve ourself….the room we had had a separate toilet however the bathroom and toilet were on opposite sides of the main sleeping area which meant that after you were finished in toilet you had to go past sleeping area and into bathroom to wash hands as there is no wash hand basin in the toilet…..something needs more thought! Other than this minor annoyance everything else was way beyond good/excellent!

Nice hotel, but kinda looked down on us plebs

The location and building were excellent. It was super clean and very comfortable.

When we arrived we were told that check in would not be done at the desk, in stead they asked us to take a seat on the couch. After 15 minutes, in which other people seemed to be checked in at the desk, did someone come up to us to take some information. After they went back to the desk to enter the information into the computer we waited again, after 20 minutes I went up to the desk to ask if we could have our room key. The guy actually forgot to give it to us, he literally forgot how to do his job. We may be plebs, but we still paid for a room and it would have been nice to be treated with the same attention as other guests.

Excellent location, beautiful facilities in a renovated monastery.

I was in Room 123 - beautiful room. However, it was contiguous to the Service area of the Restaurant, with a very thin wall separating and very loud until after midnight with Service people having a post-Service party. I called Reception and the person asked them to stop and they did. Understandably, the 1st Service person who came for the breakfast Service arrived at 6 am. It was a lovely room, but difficult for sleeping.

good accommodations, staff could be better

nice location, beautiful building

for a five star hotel the staff need some training. a do not disturb sign on door means exactly that, it does not mean reception should call room to ask if it can be cleaned. the breakfast staff were strange, there was a buffet with coffee machine and juices laid out, staff said after we had started buffet that they would serve coffee and juice, and that we should move table, this would have been very helpful to know as we walked into dining room. Dinner was mostly good but the wagu is a rip off. in all pleasant location, nice accommodation, some staff not at 5 star level. I have also never known a 5 star hotel to shut bar and ask to sign bill at 11:00 pm.

have been twice, for the first and the last time

the main building is perfect, the staff was helpful, the location ist in the center, as many other hotels in Maastricht

pretty old everything, some room might be very uncomfortable (not cosy), found a pair of old socks in our room, double bed in a 5 star hotel should a king size mattress an not two separated beds, parking expensive and you are not allowed to park next to the hotel. If not using public parking you have to use the concierge service; odor of sink in our second room. TV (for us) only few german tv channels an they where pixeled all the time ... if not booking via "booking" minibar not for free ... you have to book a time-slot for breakfast !!! you are on holidays and want to stay in bed (or not) will not be possible unless you book the last slot in the morning (but what if you want to go earlier ... in summery: go and see the main building, have a coffee or glas of wine and book an other hotel, the rooms are not what you expect in a 5 star hotel

A unique hotel

Located in the heart of Maastricht, barely five minutes walk from the famous Christmas markets, shops and eateries, this is a unique hotel built in a converted church. The staff is attentive and courteous, the food and drink are amazing and their restaurant is on the mezzanine floor in the high roof church building, the first time we have seen something like this. A must stay hotel!!!

A glorious hotel crammed with modern art, set inside an ancient cathedral. Excellent service from every member of staff

Exquisite modern art hotel set in an ancient cathedral. The hotel has been constructed within the walls without damage or alteration to the original ancient building. The hotel is full of modern art, sculptures and paintings. Every corner offers a new surprise. The staff are exceptional, efficient, friendly and knowledgeable- nothing was too much trouble. My husband and I were hugely impressed.

A very grand and aesthetic hotel.

Gorgeous hotel - really enjoyed the clever architecture and superb restaurant. Good location - in the middle of town, so everywhere was walkable. Bar is very nice, great aesthetics.

The breakfast was really expensive for what was on offer. Not worth it. The parking is a bit of a scam - they insist on valet parking your car (approx 40 Euros per day) when there's a perfectly decent parking lot at the entrance of the hotel.
