I absolutely loved how this hotel is decorated -- it's practically a museum! The location was fantastic. I knew that cars aren't allowed in Gamla Stan except during off hours, so I was concerned about getting there, but the hotel is literally steps from the border where the cab dropped us. Gamla Stan could not be quainter and staying at this hotel added to the entire cultural experience. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.
Our shower door was not in complete working order and we found that for a hotel of this stature and for the price we were paying, that the staff should have noticed the issue prior to our arrival. Unfortunately, they could not fix it during our time there. Like so many hotels in Europe the bathroom floor got completely soaked with every shower and the fact that the shower door didn't close all the way just made it worse.
Also, and this was my fault for not researching it prior to our arrival, but their restaurant was closed on Sunday and Monday and we missed our opportunity to dine at what looked like a beautiful space. We did eat in the lounge section of the bar, though. Very expensive,, especially the drinks, but good food.

The hotel is located in the perfect location. The staff was pleasant and accommodating.
We paid for a full bed room and received two twin beds pushed together. The staff changed our room, but the description on the website was inaccurate.
