The location was particularly good, so near to Antwerp station and also Antwerp Zoo.

The room was an excellent size and had a lovely little seating area which made a nice change from the desk you usually find in a hotel room. The breakfast was plentiful and, as a vegan, I really appreciated the fact that there was vegan spread and soya yoghurts. The flamingo theme throughout the hotel was fun and a nod to the zoo that was just across the square. The hotel is only 2 minutes walk from the central train station, so a great location. I managed to walk everywhere I wanted to go to in the city but there are tram stops right outside.
Service in the hotel bar in the evening was a bit slow but, otherwise, everything was great!

The location was very convenient; I've seen reviews saying that the room was noisy due to the location but my experience was that my third floor room had excellent windows and whatever was going on outside was not intrusive. The room was comfortable, the staff was uniformly friendly, the breakfast was very good, security was appropriate for the location but not excessive and safety was not an issue... It was just a very enjoyable stay.
The only real complaint that I had was that the Belgian waffle maker made substandard, incompletely made waffles - which is disappointing when you're in Belgium. Having panhandlers doing their job while enjoying a beverage outside was not enjoyable but it wasn't threatening and that's not the job of the hotel to control.
