Great hotel, splendid breakfast

Spacious and clean room, nicely decorated, with a big double bed and very quiet. The bathroom had a proper shower (unlike some other hotels we stayed at in Norway that were more expensive). The receptionists were very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast buffet was impressive, with a lot of choice and good quality ingredients, it was the best we had in Norway. The location is quite central as well, only a few minutes away from the Royal Palace and about 10 minutes walk to the harbour. We would stay there again if we go back to Oslo.

There is a pub across the street from the hotel which can get quite loud in the evening, we were lucky our room was not facing the main street though.

Perfect for a couples getaway

Spacious rooms, Bose speakers and the rain head showers were epic. The breakfast is an experience to behold with so much choice that you’ll be back for 3rds or 4ths. The staff were helpful and couldn’t do enough for us especially when recommending local traditional restaurants.

Tolles Hotel, können wir nur empfehlen

Es ist ein ganz tolles Stadthotel mit einer super Lage, tollen Zimmern, unwahrscheinlich nettem und zuvorkommenden Personal. Das Frühstück ist einzigartig auf unserem Trip durch Norwegen gewesen.

Pleasant stay in nice accomodation with very kind and helpfull personnel and a delicious, almost lavish breakfast.

Central location within walking distance of most important facilities.

For the rooms along the street, quite some noise from traffic and bars with terraces opposite the hotel.

our room on the first floor was noisy until 3 am as it was opposite two bars- ask for a room on the quiet side or a high floor, extensive breakfast would have been great but hot buffet was lukewarm at best

Friendly staff and comfortable room

Surrounded by offices and vacant buildings with only a Coop nearby. Quite a long walk from town centre and we had to walk through dark and quiet alleys. The hotel say they had not been serving free supper since Covid start.

location, clean, helpful staff

very narrow shower cabin entrance, scratched my body and I am not obese. room change made it better but still. left a head of my shaver in the bathroom while moving to a different room - a piece of my expensive shaver nowhere to be found and was not reported by the cleaning crew. fried eggs and omelets were cold, always, why? no room service no restaurant working after breakfast. misled about invoice availability

Good Hotel, good location in Center City Oslo...

Our 2nd stay in a Thon property this trip to Norway. Exc hotel(s), very helpful front desk staff, good room... Exc breakfast.

As noted in other reviews, any room facing the side street/small intersection 'square' will get considerable night and late night noise from the three bar restaurants directly below, across street. As rooms are 'warm', even in October, the street noise precludes keeping windows open at night for cooler sleeping.

The Breaksfast Buffet was the best I have ever seen in Europe...it was so generous and really a superb selection.

I should have asked for as room with a bath-tub like our friends got
