I stayed in one of the period rooms with the beautiful wooden beams. I loved being part of history! The room had enough mod-cons that it was comfortable, like beside PowerPoints, and a serviceable bathroom. There was a luggage rack provided, and tea things. The parking was also great. Good options at breakfast, and the view of the river from the restaurant was lovely. Easy walk to the cathedral and museum.

Classic hotel with only stairs - I had to lug my suitcase up a few flights of stairs, and through a few heavy doors. There were times I had to wait a long time to be served at reception.

The location was brilliant. A short walk to the cathedral and a lovely view of the river from our room.

The hotel badly needs redecorating. It is a bit shabby and the decor of lots of brown looks like it was chosen in the 1980s
