The location was perfect, a fabulous ensuite, the decor of the room and restaurant quirky and tasteful with a great busy atmosphere. The staff very helpful and humorous and an excellent breakfast with many choices.
The scaffolding for the roof restoration was unfortunate but as they explained and apologised for, it was an unplanned repair.

Historic building in the centre of Salisbury. Our bedroom was large and although it was very old, it felt modern and was very comfortable. A good quality fan was included. Breakfast in the restaurant was great.
Reception was at the bar but we were able to leave our luggage there. Parking is a few minutes walk away - but we paid £10 for a parking permit which meant we could leave the car for 24 hours.

The hotel is situated opposite one of the entrances to the Cathedral precinct. The building itself is ancient with twisting stairs and corridors. Our room had oak beams and looked over the small courtyard. It was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful. The staff were friendly and helpful.
The hotel is situated on a busy road and has no parking spaces but there is a public car park a short walk away. There is no reception desk, check-in is at the main bar of the very busy restaurant. There is no designated area for hotel guests and any pre-dinner drinks have to be taken perched on stools in the small area around the restaurant bar. The restaurant seems to have a S. African twist and the menu choices are "beef-heavy".

Good location and a nice historic building. The room was well decorated and staff were pleasant
Incredibly hot room in summer and between 11pm and 2am there were loud appliances (?) running which made loud noises and woke us up frequently.
