Great location, staff are excellent. Nice bar area. When the outside tables and glass room is open, it’s a special place.
I think the staff really make this place. The rooms are nice and well appointed however, they are beginning to appear slightly tired.
Our second stay, this time in old main part of building. The floorboards in the room above us were not just creaky but very loud which disturbed our night’s sleep.
There were a few issues with food & drinks running out in the evening which was a shame but what we did eat was very nice, thank you.

Great room and lots of facilities at the hotel for eating and drinking in different environments. investment in the Bear is paying off. Our room was really very good - well decorated in great style, with a quirky bath and four poster bed all in the same room!
The weather was extremely hot and so the room needed proper air conditioning. Two fans in the room helped, but cannot not make up for the fact that the heat was exceptional, and went some way to impacting on the enjoyment of staying at such a great place.

Location
Our room was very dated, although having paid for a superior room. Really?!!! Our room was located at the front and extremely noisy as the drayman made a delivery:collection at 2am in the morning and woke us up.
