Food was excellent. The braised beef in the evening was delicious and they managed the "impossible" - a piping hot buffet breakfast! Location was great for me (very handy to be close to large M&S!) and handy for motorway and to scoot into Cardiff Centre. Bed was really comfy.
My room (220) was very tired (stained carpet, bathroom door suffering from water damage, tops of furniture were very sticky/tacky) with some basic maintenance issues (light not working, stained toilet seat, plug in the bath broken - needed to use a tea spoon to prise it up to drain water from bath!) which I reported to reception. These were scribbled on a post-it note and I was told they would be fixed on Monday as there was no maintenance support on Sundays! When I checked out on Monday, I asked if I could add the fact that the bathroom door doesn't close properly to my list. No record (aka the post-it note, I presume!) could be found of my reported issues. Rather disappointing and suggest Copthorne might want to review their process for reporting maintenance issues?
