* Everything was clean
* The size of the room was perfect for one traveller

* Quite place in general, very tranquil
perhaps not the most convenient location if you want to explore the city center. It's a 40 minutes walk from the hotel to the old town. For me, it wasn't a big deal as I like walking and didn't book this hotel specifically to visit Stirling, but just keep that in mind if you're looking for a convenient place close to the old town and its main attractions.
Breakfast could have been slightly better. The lady that checks who paid for breakfast seemed to be pretty annoyed and in a hurry. Also they could offer more variety of food. And they need to add an extra milk jug, as there was only one when I arrived and, of course, was always empty.

The restaurant and staff are amazing
The room we had was very old other than the bathroom and the hall corridor did smell like mold. Pillows very uncomfortable as was the mattress

The staff were lovely and welcoming. The actual surroundings were quite nice.
The lock on my bedroom door didn’t lock and the lock bolt came out in my hand which meant my door was not secure! I didn’t have the best sleep as I was worried that someone could get into my room due to the locking issue and the doors looked past their sell by date. I reported it to the staff in the morning. Definitely needs an upgrade.
