Good restaurant, too many stairs!
Large free car park. Restaurant staff & food v good. Comfortable bed.
Hideous climb to room 17, for 70+ year olds, no reception staff to bring luggage to our room. 50mm gap under bedroom door, fire precautions??? Dated decor.

We did not stay and no alternative accommodation was offered. No refund could be given on the day.

Comfortable, located were I needed to be
The location was great, as was at a meeting over the road.
I didn’t like that there was no milk, sugars, in the room. Also there was someone’s used toilet roll on the radiator 🤮

Not recommended.
The only positive I can give is the staff were very professional and helpful. Could not fault them.
The room provided was tired and in need of redecorating and refitting. The carpet has seen better days. The headboard on the bed was so worn I woke thinking I had developed soot coloured dandruff, the pillow was covered in small particles of black vinyl. The ceiling was papered, but this was sagging in places. The floorboards created a tuneful dawn chorus from the room above, I know it's an old building, but I also know this can be remedied. We were also entertained by a cascade of waste water from the room above, this was fortunately on the outside and was due to the waste pipe being disconnected. Unfortunately due to a long journey ahead, we decided to have breakfast. This was underwhelming, bacon often tastes better when cooked rather than just heated through. The main disappointment with this hotel is that it could be so much better, with a little more attention to detail.
