Friendly staff, very dog friendly and lovely location. Rooms were clean and well appointed.

It’s in a nice quiet location. The interior was very clean.
The staff were very helpful and very friendly.
There was ample parking and the beach was just a relatively short walk away. It’s in a nice elevated position.
The hotel was decorated to a high standard.
I found the eating areas just a little too utilitarian, functional and minimalist. More cafeteria than restaurant.
It’s a ‘dog friendly’ hotel which will appeal to some but not all of us want dogs around - particularly indoors and in eating areas. It caters to dogs outside also but seeing some dog’s mess on the steps down to the pool wasn’t nice particularly as it was directly outside the entrance. We reported it and they dealt with it immediately but personally I found it off-putting. It would certainly deter me from going back though if you have dogs yourself I would say this would be a good location for you as there’s areas the dogs can have a walk around also.

Somewhat old fashioned and homely, the hotel is in a wonderful location overlooking the sea. The room has a huge bed, lovely bed linen and was very comfortable. Fresh milk was provided each day and the fridge did not make a noise.
We had a walk in shower which was perfect.
The breakfast was excellent.
This is a dog friendly hotel and we are not dog people but there were no hairs and no doggy smell and the four legged residents behaved impeccably.
The staff are very friendly and really helpful.
My husband has mobility issues but we knew there wasn't a lift and he managed the stairs to the first floor.

Good location with plenty of parking. Lovely views and gardens. Breakfast very good. Staff very helpful.
Basic room. Booked a king room and was taken to a room in the roof space with velux window over the bed. Awful view out of main window onto rear of building with fire escape, bags of rubbish and generally depressing. Asked for a change (happy to pay for any upgrade) but told only room available was family room. This was very basic to say the least but we had no choice having already paid.
