The hotel was a typical seaside hotel with a pool overall needs a bit of maintenance here and there but very comfortable beds were great and the staff were very helpful

Everything was lovely. Decor a bit dated but perfectly ok . Slightly sad that cobwebs on light shade and when I moved bedside table there was a used cotton ball and half a bourbon biscuit on the floor. Single bed was not very comfortable as large spring sticking up in middle. Breakfast was lovely as was staff and owners so in spite of a couple of niggles would definitely book there again

We were warmly welcomed by the owner/manager. She was kind and helpful whenever we encountered her. A slightly older lady who was serving us at breakfast on days 2 and 3 was friendly and engaging. Breakfast was cooked well and arrived quickly. The location was good, very close to the beach and cliff walk.
Room size was small and only room for one chair. Room was not serviced after Day 1. Owner very apologetic and gave us the things we needed. The next day we had biscuits etc. put in our room, so in this respect it was serviced, but the bathroom had not been cleaned and there were no fresh towels. (Unlike many hotels nowadays there is no signage regarding putting any towels you wish to be changed to be left on the floor). It would have been good if the manager, having not been happy with her employees the day before, might have checked their work subsequently. We noticed this 'non-servicing' of rooms has been mentioned in previous reviews. When we arrived for breakfast the first morning a pot of tea was immediately put on our table. We did not ask for tea. We were then brought toast, half brown, half white. We were not asked whether we would like brown or white. There was no salt coming from the salt cellar on our table. I tried two others, they were the same. Finally I opened the bottom to get some out. I let the young waitress know. Her response was 'Some of them are working'(??!!). There were fresh pears, apples and satsumas but not stewed or dried fruits. All the items that constitute a 'continental breakfast' were not part of the offereing e.g. cheese, cold meats, crossants, rolls etc. - not a requirement, but as a 'hotel' in 2026, slightly disappointing.
