Passable

Internet was not working, which is really not acceptable for a work trip. No kettle in the room, no organised breakfast, problems with water. Definitely not 4 start quality.

disaster

the staff were not clearly communicating, we enquired about breakfast before heading out and they said they’ll let us know about it. we didn’t discuss the price or what’s on offer or anything. and when we came back in the night they charged us for the breakfast @€20 per person, we are a group of nine with kids and dietary restrictions. we never got any details on what they’re providing and the person at the front desk forced me to pay or call police on me. I had to pay 190€ extra to avoid a scene. on top of it when we came back to the room it was full of ants and other pests.

An excellent fit for those that like boutique hotels, as opposed to big hotels and hotel chains. Great design and interior, the main city center is just a few minutes by foot away. Spacious and modern rooms with balconies overlooking the green garden

Disappointing

Staff is really friendy and helpful and rooms are nice.

We didn’t get the rooms we booked and in addition one of us had to sleep on sofa even though we booked beds. Toilete was broken and the garage has place only for 2 cars and it is in poor condition.

rooms were very comfortable once we sorted out a camp bed issue but would not stay again

Bernarda was very friendly and helpful. made sure we had everything we needed. The rooms we had were clean and modern but the hotel itself is obviously in the process of renovating so only part of the hotel was in use. the front of the hotel does not give a good impression. it is up quite a steep hill also away from the centre so for anyone in need of help would have to get the bus or taxi

Exceptional

The hotel is built up on a hill and developes downward from the entrance. We were given a suite with garden as we have a dog (that understanding it was "home garden" she didn't even pee/poo there!). The hotel structure is amazing! Just beautiful in any detail!

Breakfast needs to be better organized. We weren't given fruit /meat and it took for ever to get a tea/coffe. These items available on the buffet were of high quality though.

Average

The room was average with comfy beds but the hotel is not at all as described in the pictures. There was renovation going on so that could be the reason. The location was good but not so close to the center of zagreb. What i actually liked was that the family room has 2 huge beds so that was good.

Good

The employees are very helpful and focussed on the guests, we got a warm welcome during check-in.. Although the hotel is directly located on the street you do not hear the traffic. Rooms are very nice and super clean. The hotel is situated a few minutes walking from the city center which is perfect. Will definitely come back to this when we are in Zagreb again.

The street is quite busy with fast cars and there is almost no space for walking the dog in the direct neighborhood.

Exceptional

Definitely a place to visit again! Located in the city centre, yet no traffic noise. Staff extremely friendly, Lucia especially. The double bad was perfectly comfortable...all in one: one of the best hotels I visited in Zagreb.

pleasant family stay

The staff are very friendly and hospitable. The breakfast was good and with reasonable variety. The rooms were comfortable and spacious. There were building works going on, but this did not disturb our stay.

Would be good if there is a Tea/Coffee maker in the room. The terrace outside of the room could be cleaner/more open. The hotel is on a moderate hill and is a short stroll from the town centre, which was fine for us (we were counting steps!) but may not be preferable for others.

Owner aggressive and verbally abusive to guests

Do not come here. The property is falling apart. The mold in the bathroom is so bad that it fills the entire room with a nasty smell. The “garden view” means looking at a plastic shack. There aren’t even real sheets on the bed. Unfortunately I can only add four photos to my review. The rooms are located next to the breakfast room and kitchen, so it gets noisy early in the morning. When checking in I asked the owner if there would be any extra charges to the booking.com price since I am traveling with a small dog (5kg). He said there would not be. When checking out, he wanted me to pay 70€ extra for a two day stay. He said he is not obligated to let guests know how much he would be charging. I stayed polite, but did not want to pay this extra amount after I was told there would be no extra charge. The owner, who is a big man, got extremely aggressive, verbally abusive and threatened me. I have never experienced something like this. I ended up being forced to pay whatever amount he decided to charge me.

Avoid this Hotel at all cost

This hotel is half ruin half barely standing building, with very unpolite hotel staff with no professional or any other kind of manners. We had a 2 night stay there, in their "family room" wich was a disaster, they gave us a bed for baby wich is old and dirty with beach mattress insted of real one. All the sheets were wet, and when we asked for dry ones we got an answer that they don't have any and that we can take wet ones or go away. Blankets where Milka's promotional material, which are not long or thick enough for adults. We stayed in the hotel as we didn't have any other option cause the city was fully booked on that weekend. And in the morning we woke up in the room full of ants that were all over our stuff, which is very disturbing when you are with 3 month old baby. For all of this problems hotel owner and staff didn't have any solution,or didn't want to have, and they treated us as garabage all the time there. And in the end they tried to charge us for late check-out even though we exited room on time.

It was supposed to be a king bed but actually it was combined twin bed which was uncomfortable to sleep in the middle as we could see the division..

Very design hotel, perfect for a “green” stay in the Croatian capital

Very nice and helpful staff, hotel very design and very well decorated, cleaning was perfect, the terrasse was nice, the bath was very nice. Also good location!

A bit cold (but I think it could be very nice outside winter) and 2 attached bed instead of one big.
