BLUESEA Salina Ex MD Atlantic

loved the location, we had a sea view and the apartment was very spacious and clean, perfect for a family with children. No cooking facilities but i had found this out from reading previous reviews so didn’t come as a surprise but may do for others. The fridge and kettle were very useful. The pools were very quiet which was amazing during the kids holidays, we had the small pool to ourselves most of the time. Staff friendly and helpful, cleaners came every day. Breakfast was really good, lots of choice. We ate out in the evenings and had some lovely meals along the beach front.

the neighbouring hotel was ridiculously loud at night, there was entertainment late into the night which wasn’t ideal with 2 young children trying to get them to sleep at a decent time. It was loud till about 11pm every night, we were on the side facing the sea so maybe the other side wasn’t so bad. But feel like something needs to be said as i’ve never experienced volume like it even when staying in the noisy hotel let alone a different hotel altogether! Pools got warm towards afternoon, to be expected with the weather in August. No lilos or floats allowed in the pool which was a bit disappointing but seemed to be a rule that was a bit inconsistent! we were also a bit confused as we booked before this hotel became bluesea salina. A lot of the signage and facilities are remnants from moon dreams atlantic. We were told the hotel had changed names but that all the facilities remained the same. Unfortunately this was not the case with regards to the self catering facilities and there was no kids club (yet there was a building with kids club written on it which was being used as a storage shed!) the bath had been painted in something that i don’t think it should have been, we bathed the kids and the paint was coming off in big clumps. I think some renovation works have began and we visited part way through so didn’t get the full bluesea experience.

Minimum customer service and attention to customer needs. Basic food. Basic room with no decoration and unusable kitchen. Capricious AC. Old hotel in serious need of renovation.
