Staff very friendly and Hotel clean. Beds comfy lots of pillow choices.
The pool and spa area need some attention. Spa very old and cracked bubbles did not work on one of them.
Food and drinks very expensive compared to dining out in the city.

Very near to all the attractions of Rotorua and a very pleasant hotel. The Rydges is a good chain hotel as we also stayed in Rydges Auckland. The breakfast was excellent.
Unlike Auckland unfortunately we had only one queen size bed while the other was a single bed. It was also a bit difficult to regulate the temperature of the water in the shower.

Modern, Low -rise hotel with all the facilities. Nice spacious room. Good staff. Good breakfast. Large free car-park.
Hotel is under construction, without notification to customers. No closing time for the pool given by the hotel ( EG: Poolside notices, website, no hotel compendium), so, the pool occupied until 10pm by noisy families running around the hotel.

Location and food.
The initial room offered to us was no way closer to what is displayed on booking.com site. The room was like a 1 star hotel room and smelly. Had to pay $70 extra per day to get a better room suitable for family stay.
