La ubicación es excepcional y desde el comedor hay unas vistas impresionantes de Santa Sofía, la mezquita azul y el Bósforo. Llegas al centro histórico en cinco minutos caminando.
Las chicas del desayuno son un encanto y fueron muy simpáticas y atentas en todo momento.
El recepcionista no era nada simpático, las habitaciones son muy pequeñas y el hotel es bastante viejo.

Very cozy hotel, with nice room. Nice breakfasts were in the magnificent roof top, with very inspiring and beautiful view. The location is great too, it is close to the sea and famous mosques. We are 100% satisfied with our stay here.

Location is amazing, the main highlights are just few minutes walk awaz, view from the roof terrace is breathtaking! The staff was very hospitable, friendly and helpful, for example I am gluten intolerant and thez arranged gluten free bread just for me! Very good price/value ratio. I would recommend this hotel for short city tour trips.
I am not the biggest fan of the interior style, but this is very subjective of course, tastes differ. Also the rooms was quite small, and I personally would appreciate more pillows and hair conditioner. But as I said - this place is a perfect price/value ratio

Fantastic location in a very busy area within an easy walk to attractions and plenty of nearby restaurants and bars.
The view from the roof-top cafe was fabulous and all of the staff very friendly and attentive.
Possibly the most uncomfortable pillows we have ever slept on and as for the ridiculous top sheet/bed cover, it was hardly big enough to cover a double bed, let alone two occupants.
We arranged transport too and from the Hotel, through the Hotel, which was a misatke. We are not opposed to people making a margin on arrangements, but cash only and close to 20 Euro each way on top of other suppliers advertised prices really is a rip-off. The return trip to the airport was booked the day before with at least 30-45 minutes of spare time factored into the booking. The taxi was over 30 minutes late and we had to walk to the end of the street due to heavy traffic to collect the taxi. In searing heat really not satisfactory.

The communication with the hotel was excellent. They help with taxy and transportation. The breakfast was super good and the view of the terrace is amazing. The location is great as well.
The room is a bit outdated and could have some renovation, but it all goes well with the style of the hotel.

Perfect view from the room and the roof top restaurant.
All of the staff were so kind and helpful in every way, tried to solve any issue as soon as possible.

Breakfast was great and the hotel was clean.
The twin room presented as the delux room but the truth is that the room is very small, doesn't fit to tall people, small bed, you can hardly stand in the balcony .
The location is near the train so it is very loud , not something you can ignore.
I emailed the hotel to change rooms but they ingnored my emails :(

The Rast was a great option for us a first time travellers to Istanbul. Location was superb as we were so close to many of the attractions. The tram stop was just metres away from the front door. The breakfast was excellent with lots of choice. Also the staff were very friendly and helpful

the only good thing is a location: 5-10 min from Aya Sofia and Grand bazar, but it’s not a best place to stay in the city. Personal is very friendly and helpful.
Small rooms, not very clean, poor facilities, bathroom isn’t fresh . Very hard pillows and no options of it. Breakfast buffet is poor and stays cold, not worse to pay for the view from terrace.

Very convenient to all other tourists attraction. Near to tram station. Walking distance to Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. And the hotel overall breakfast palate lots of choices. Mix with Turkish and western breakfast.

And just wait till you see the view from the rooftop breakfast resto area! Beds were comfortable, too! Everyone in the family really enjoyed our stay and we will definitely stay here again the next time we're in Istanbul. Thank you so much to Rast Hotel for welcoming us.

Only thing we had an issue with is the AC. Couldnt quite figure it out or maybe the one in our room was defective since the my mom's room's AC worked fine

Location was perfect although you can hear some prayer from the nearby mosques. ( on the first day it woke me up but from the next day, we were not bothered much). Sultanahmet station is just about 3 min walk from the hotel.
View is...I think this hotel might have the best view in Istanbul over Ayasofia, blue mosque and the Bosphorus! I was so happy to have this view (maybe you need to book upper level rooms though..)
Breakfast was not that fancy but neat and home-food like style. Turkish style, well balanced with protein, veggie, carbohydrates.
The staff were wonderful!!!
The facility seemed to be a bit outdated but I did not care much since all I was looking for was the view and the quietness.
I stayed with two kids and we were very happy.
Coffee should be improved though...the taste of coffee in the breakfast buffet wasn't good at all. it tasted like some cheap 3-1 instant coffee pack.

Location, view and staff (Bayram and Gokhan - thanks guys) were amazing! Plus they have a gorgeous kitty cat that is one of the staffs who likes to sit in the lobby so was really happy to come downstairs and give pets. Would definitely recommend to stay here, its right near everything in the old town which is amazing!
Really minor but not many hooks in room to hang towels or coats etc and although there was large variety at breakfast, it was average.

I loved the breakfast. I remembered Sedat and Gokce and every one of the staff did their utmost to to ensure we enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was fantastic as we could enjoy the magnificent view of the sunrise from the comfort of the restaurant. The staff were really friendly to us and especially my daughter and I had no negatives at all throughout my trip. I would not hesitate to book this hotel again if I were to ever come Turkey in the future. They even helped us for our trip to Bursa, such was their willingness to go the extra mile to help us.
Nothing really, the only downside of my trip was snow did not fall in Istanbul when I was there

The hotel is in the best location for all the major sites. The view from our room which was a suite was right over the agia sofia and was perfect. There is also a stunning view from the breakfast balcony. All of the staff are amazing. Polite and super helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them. I would recommend that you get an istanbul card when you arrive and get used to using the trams as then you can get to the nightlife area with ease. Taxis are a bit of a nightmare.
Special thanks to Ihran and Bayram who could not do enough for us to make our stay enjoyable.
Maybe a bar in the evening so you can sit on the terrace with a drink and admire the view. The lack of a restaurant is not a problem as you are spoilt for choice for restaurants although some of them are a little touristy. Try and get off the beaten track.

Hotel was clean, close to both Hagia Sofia and Eminonu areas. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Bayram at the front desk help us with our questions and needs at the hotel.
Breakfast with a view was the highlight for us.
