This hotel was really llike me coming home after many decades in the USA. I grew up in a house in the middle of the vineyards just down from this hotel. I've always wanted to stay in this hotel - it sits way up above the town of Chexbres. We arrived towards the end of the "tourist" season, so they were not too busy. Our room was perfect - the type of room where we would leave the windows open at night - the air was so clean and refreshing. Their breakfasts were absolutely fabulous. The staff was very accommodating. The rooms/hallways/stairs were all impeccably clean. Just as I expected.

Incredible view! Lovely balcony. Simple basic clean room.
The pillows were awful, had to ask for a few. Also there was only 1 plug socket in the room for 2 of us so that wasn’t ideal. The hotel itself feels a bit like a hospital, and could do with a refurbishment as a lot of the shared spaces and bathrooms are quite tired

Location with direct views to the lake is incredible. Hotel has a convenient parking area as well.
The room on the fifth floor cannot be reached by elevator, and seem to need a bit of maintenance.
