It was very reasonably priced and we didn’t want breakfast (which was expensive so a good saving!)
It was well located for visits to Rudas spa and transport links across the city.
Water stations by the lift and carafes in the room are a great bonus!
It was not that close to “Buda Castle” which the name indicates - certainly involved a significant number of steps to get up to that level which could have been an issue if you have any mobility issues.
Also all the advertising is with views accross the river … which isn’t true if you are stuck in the other side of the hotel (so half the rooms!!) with a view of the back end of a railway hub.
We were in the 8th floor so had expected so have something of a view. Maybe as we hadn’t booked direct?
Overall we weren’t in the room much, but that was a disappointment on first seeing the room.

The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The hotel is close to the metro, making it easy to get into the city centre. We also had a nice view of the hillside.
We specifically requested a quiet room away from housekeeping or service areas. Unfortunately, we were given a room close to where the cleaning staff started their rounds, so mornings were noisier than we had hoped.
The shower also flooded the bathroom floor, and we had to ask for extra towels to dry it because the floor became very slippery.
The surrounding neighbourhood looks a little worn and rough around the edges, although the location itself is very convenient.
