Breakfast was more than satisfactory.
The hotel buildings were really nice.
I liked the pool.
We were offered a free parking spot as stated.
Internet was indeed high-speed.
The room was really cute and well air-conditioned.
If you have a car, it is great to get around because it is located far from the city center.
Overall, value for money.
There were some dead bugs at the bathroom wall but nothing to be molested by to be honest.

Convenient location for us for East outskirts of Rome. Train to centre and Metro good
On the flight path of Ciampino Airport directly overhead when landing. 07.15 hrs - 22.00 hrs. Spa too expensive and needs to be booked exclusively.

We booked 4 nights here as an "out of town" option with a pool and handy Metro link for visiting Rome during our 14 night tour of Italy. 1st impressions of Piccolo Borgo are good. Nice cobbled drive with central raised flora garden and guest apartments to either side. The reception is welcoming and the lady checking us in was superb! She explained all the facilities of the Hotel, breakfast, pool area and the timings for the shuttle bus to & from "Cinecitta" (the nearest Metro station into Rome). The shuttle worked well for us - but please note the timings..... Our room/apartment was a large space with a nice size shower room with a very good shower. The lobby area of our room had ample storage cupboards which included additional blankets & pillows, fridge with complimentary water and deposit box. The bedroom area benefits from a pair of sliding patio doors leading to a paved, fairly secluded patio/garden area. The bed was also very comfortable with crisp white sheets. Breakfast, although limited and repetitive, is nicely presented and perfectly adequate in my opinion for something to start the day. The pool is spotlessly clean achieved with the robotic hoover constantly roaming the bottom and sides of the pool - great to watch!!
After a couple of nights we'd worked out the hotel is mainly for corporate/one night stopovers rather than tourists. There is no real hotel bar, so getting a beer or glass of wine proved difficult. Likewise, the room has no tea/coffee making facilities and no coffee machine locally for the morning. We had dinner in the hotel on our first night which was mediocre at best. The location is awful - there are no shops, restaurants or sites of interest anywhere within walking distance of this hotel. The pool is freezing - not just cold, but freezing!! I realise we're at the end of the season (early Oct) but the pool was one of the draws to booking this hotel. The rooms are dated and grubby - not filthy dirty but grubby. Our patio area hadn't been cleaned/swept from the previous guest with cigarette ash and butts littering the area. We had dirty footprints on the bathroom floor most days and cleaner left an old sponge in the basin - obviously not on purpose but not nice.
We missed the last shuttle back to the hotel from Cinecitta station one evening and was unable to hail a taxi after 35min of trying. I finally phoned the hotel to ask a very abrupt and irritated clerk to arrange a cab to collect us. He refused point blank leaving us stranded. It's probably 2-3km to the hotel from the station and much too dangerous to walk at nighttime. There are no pavements and the narrow roads are littered with Albert Ascari wannabe drivers! I ended up downloading the Uber App and ordering an Uber to ensure we got back safely. Overall, with the exception of check-in lady, we were not impressed with the Picollo Borgo and wouldn't recommend or stay at this hotel again.
