Location, location, location. The location was great out of the main hustle and bustle of Tossa de Mar but still a very short walk to the old town and castle. It was also on a small beach which you could walk to from the pool area although this beach was really busy in early August when we visited. The pool area was also great, never an issue with getting loungers and parasols. Breakfast views were lovely, breakfast itself was also quite nice.
The ‘premium’ double rooms are very dated, they don’t really feel premium to be honest - I would say the rooms were overpriced for what you got but it was early August. The staff weren’t overly friendly or helpful, particularly the staff serving breakfast, they were a bit grumpy to be honest. Jessica on reception was lovely though. We noticed that although breakfast is supposed to run until 11am that items were not replenished from about 10.30, also the chef at the egg station also seemed to finish at 10.30 - you would expect to be able to come between 10.30-11.00 and have all options available. The food is the restaurant for lunch is not good and very overpriced.
