Estancia madrileña en el hotel II Castillas

Excelente ubicación y muy buena calidad-precio. Además, las camas eran cómodas y, para ser zona tan céntrica, no es jaleoso y permite descansar bien.

Exceptional

Clean rooms, friendly staff, all facilities in good function, excellent place, from where all principal sights (Gran Via, King´s Palace, Sol, Pza. Espanya, Pza. Mayor) and Metro + bus stations were in walking distance.

Breakfast was a bit boring after 4 days (always the same).

Need to replace reception staff and bring younger people or at-least teach them to reply “hi” “fine” give little respect to guest

A nice hotel right at the heart of Madrid. It is our 4th or 5th stay at II Castillas in Madrid as the hotel is right in the center of the city, close to Metro station, all the main sightseeing and shopping streets. The room we got this time was just awesome, very spacious, with many windows (there was a window even in the bathroom), super clean! Not that much variety at breakfast especially if you are a vegan, but still you will have good food and coffee to start your day with, People at the Reception were super friendly, check-in /check-out process is very quick, were always open to help with any question or issue. Will definitely stay at this hotel when we are next in Madrid

Nice hotel in a perfect location

Location was perfect, in the centre of Madrid but in a quiet street. The room was a good size and very comfortable. Continental breakfast was very good. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again.

The price was more than what we are used to paying but it seems to be a general increase in holiday accommodation prices.

Perfect location, beautiful hotel, spacious rooms -for Europe.

The breakfast was very tasty, the room was really comfortable. Excellent location.

The room had a sewage smell, but it was promptly fixed by maintenance.

Perfect, top marks for location, cleanliness and facilities

Plenty of choice for breakfast. My partner said it was the best coffee ever! Also really kind, helpful staff, in particular giving my daughter gluten free options.

Would have liked tea and coffee in the room but really not an issue as so many cafes in Madrid. Also great coffee at breakfast.

The woman that checked us in was obviously having a bad day. When we talked to here again she was annoyed and didn't want to be bothered. Maybe she needs a vacation?

Very nice hotel, clean and quiet.

Quiet and clean. Has a small refrigerator which is very useful. Location was excellent for walking around the City Center and the price was very good. Breakfast was available for an additional $12/per person. No ice machine, but the bar staff kindly gave me a cup of ice.

Found out that you should shower early in the evening. After 11:00 there was little hot water. The male receptionists were definitely more pleasant than the woman who checked us in.

The hotel is pleasant and very well located just a few steps from Sol metro in the center of downtown. The room was clean, if a little smaller than expected. The buffet breakfast was very good with a selection of hot and cold options.

The room was quite small; there was no coffee station. The AC didn't work; our room was street facing so if we opened the window it was very noisy, if we closed the window it got quite stuffy.

The location is great, near the main street of Madrid, which connects you to pretty much everything.

We got some hot days there, and the air conditioning wasn't capable to get a comfortable temperature in the room, so sleeping was hard. The air conditioning is definitely something that must be improved there.

AC couldn't keep the room cool, but it was very hot outside to be fair.
