Gorgeous dining area and lovely library. Absolutely loved the ambiance of the shared spaces.
The carpet in our room seemed very dirty.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was a decent size, nicely decorated with a very comfortable bed. The food was very good with a decent selection and the service was quick and efficient. The view from the restaurant over the loch is magnificent. Due to the hotel's location, it was very peaceful and relaxing with some nice walks through the grounds.
We had a lovely couple of days with no real criticisms to note.

I had the best night's sleep I have had in a long time. The bed was perfectly comfortable, the room was a good size, and the bathroom was modern and spotless. The castle is beautiful, very cosy. The bar and lounge were great to spend time in and the view from the restaurant was outstanding. I liked walking in the grounds too.
Driving out of the road end is quite hairy, you're aware that cars are driving fast there. I don't know what would help, perhaps signs on the road to warn drivers?
Also - while the staff are very friendly and good at their job - they could be too familar when chatting. And one of them sat in reception while off duty and you could hear their loud conversation in the lounge.

Beautiful castle and grounds, very traditional and staff very friendly. Great breakfast,
Heating in bedroom broken and staff unable to turn off so had to sleep in 27 degrees - very hot and uncomfortable even with windows open on a cool night. Bed linen didn’t smell very fresh and insufficient toilet roll in the bathroom. Under the sofa in the room very dirty so cleanliness not what you world expect from a hotel of this standard
