It’s very quiet and loch-side location with glorious views across to Bute scored very well for us. The staff were very kind and helpful. We had an issue with flow and temperature of the shower and this was swiftly dealt with by a room change. It was very comfortable.
As with all loch-side properties there was a steep slope to the main entrance. This was not a problem for us.

We were only there one night, room was comfortable and the view was amazing.
We had dinner in the lounge/bar, really tasty. Home cooked rich food.
Full Scottish breakfast in the morning before we went on our way. Again spot on to set us up for the morning before heading out to Kilbride Bay.

Lovely location.
Room was absolutely tiny. Food was okay but more of the pub grub sort - burgers, pies, everything with chips - limited in options. No information provided about timing of dinner and kitchen shut abruptly at 8pm with about 10 minutes warning. Would have been better as a single night stop in a beautiful place, not really a hotel to feel at home in or to linger, sadly.
