The staff were brilliant.

Breakfast was lovely, fresh.

We had to que a bit for breakfast and once we got the front we had to wait for more food to come out, the trays were a bit small so would say make them a bit bigger.

Staff very pleasant and helpful, hotel good, the room was the disappointment

The hotel and facilities are nice and clean and breakfast was good

We paid 184.00 for a room, but it was definitely more like a £100.00 room if that. Was very disappointed when we saw it. I'm sure there are nicer rooms, we just weren't in one.

Lovely stay great location perfect for our needs would highly reccomend

Amazing staff so helpful and kind! They went out of their way to give us everything we needed.

Bathroom door had been chewed at bottom by a dog at some point and bathroom smelt of dogs

Lovely hotel, basic but had everything we needed in a location close to everything

The Castlefield was the perfect space for a weekend trip to Manchester. The rooms were no-frills but clean and had everything we needed. The access to the YMCA was also a bonus!

Extra parking charge, questionable area. Big rooms, nice facilities.

Including entry to the gym and swimming pool, sauna, steam. Big room with everything needed.

Car parking was an extra charge not stated when I booked via booking.com. People smoking weed just outside reception.

Nice set up. Friendly staff. Good location.

I'm not a fan of hotels charging extra for on site parking. Not a trend I like at all. Just include it in the room price.

Xmas break

Location to town is superb, parking excellent. Very friendly staff.

Had to leave the windows open all the time in December due heating and water pipes constantly hot, this wouldn't stop us booking again.

Great location

The room was clean and spacious, with tea/coffee making facilities, a TV etc. The location is really great for accessing Manchester city centre.

The rooms are so dark, getting ready in the morning was a challenge. The very small car park was full and I had to wait a while, but there was some confusion with the receptionist about whether I had paid for parking or not, and I hadn't been issued a ticket on arrival so wasn't confident I could leave in the morning.

Castlefield Hotel

Such an amazing hotel, so clean and tidy, facilities are second to none, you have a pool, a gym, a bar, restaurant etc Staff were exceptional, polite and friendly, nothing was too much bother, my daughter and I even witnessed a member of staff take some hot food and drink over to a homeless person sleeping in the castlefield bowl Would fully recommend this hotel

If there was anything I had to find wrong then I'd say that they now have to charge £1.20 when you arrive which is, apparently, a new tax bought in by the council, I just feel this should be stated on the website

Great Hotel- would definitely stay there again.

All the reception staff were really friendly and professional. The standard of cleaning was high. There was ample space in the bedroom and bathroom to put our clothes and toiletries.

Worth the money but wouldn't say family swimming I'd say adults only

Clean nice staff felt safe

Gap at door let alot of light in on night and my little one was excited to go swimming it was all lanes and was in there 5 mins as felt in way everyone was staring like we shouldn't be there.

Okay for short term stay, staff was excellent

Excellent staff, decent gym, very nice sauna. Tea was nice.

There was mold in the corners of the room, I had an allergy attack because of this, very outdated interior, no effort there. Very stiff mattresses.

Great breakfast and location.

Car park was full, so had to park elsewhere and carry the bags down. The car park we had to use was very expensive.

Good value for an overnight stay

Loved the location of the hotel, and it was nice and clean. Staff were friendly. Room was lovely and warm. Plenty of breakfast choice and felt really chilled and relaxed.

Walls were a bit thin it was quite noisy when people were coming in and out. I did book twin beds but ended up with a double. Not that it was a real problem but as I suffer with restless legs I didn't want to keep my friend awake. A member of staff did say they would sort it but didn't as it was a double bed and not two singles pushed together.
