The 11th floor room was clean and familiar. The furniture was the same when I started using Tara Hotel in the1980s but the furniture is still in good shape.
The air-conditioning system can only operate in the cooling mode while the heating mode is no longer functioning. An electric heater was supplied by the hotel staff during my stay to heat the room as needed.

This is not the first time I used this hotel. Always meets expectations. The rooms are super clean luxury. Super central location. Staff is friendly. We were able to cheaply book an extra bed for one night for an extra child. Very light rooms. Nice room service from the downstairs restaurant.
I wish the windows would open, otherwise you are left having to breath in the aircon - which does not agree well with me. Although room is above the train line, it's not too noisy as windows are double insulated. I wish the pillows were fuller, though they did give me extra ones as I had requested. Glad to have a room with no floating toilet this time.

Location
The room was classed as a superior room with great views across Kensington which attracted a premium. But to me, it was just an average room that was badly kaid out. All light switches were by the room door, no bedside lights or switches.
