The location is excellent and the food was very good, the hotel is a grand historic building.
Parking can be a problem and the standard room allocated to us needed some work doing to it, which we understand are to be completed soon. Hopefully this hotel will be brought back to the grand building it obviously once was without removing all the beautiful old fittings

The hotel is a very old building and could really do with modenising a little inside.
First impressions of the hotel was not good very dirty carpets as you enter.
Staff at breakfast were not the happiest of people.Reception staff were friendly.
Breakfast luke warm

Hotel position. Old charm.
The breakfast was warm and dried. I would rather have no breakfast than what was offered. Reduce the time slot and put less out but keep it hotter and refill more often. Would much prefer bed, no breakfast so we can eat locally and fresh.
The bathroom toilet and the one in the adjacent room share the same pipe feed down the wall behind the bed so when either toilet was flushed both rooms got a noisy fill. I appreciate the building is very old but fire doors are dangerous and would not work as intended.. They do not close but with big gaps ... need fixing !
