We had the "attic" room which was delightful. It was large and the bed was super comfortable. Nice large towels in the bathroom and lots of adequate seating made the room a wonderful respite. The stairways are fun to explore with all the antiques. The hotel restaurant was closed our first night there, but we had a delicious lakeside dinner at their sister hotel. Check in and check out was efficient and the staff very friendly. Cully has a beautiful little walkable older section with lots of nooks and crannies to explore and a wonderful lakeside promenade. Vineyards are just a stone's throw away.

It’s a really nice old hotel in a great location in Cully. We drove and saw in advance it was difficult to park so parked at the train car park which was quite cheap and close by. The room was lovely, really good size, and clean. Staff very friendly.
Unfortunately we were visiting during the heatwave and although the hotel had left a couple of fans (thank you!), being in the loft just meant it was impossible for the room to be an ok temperature. It was too hot to stay in during the day and really quite horrible to sleep in. If you touched the low ceiling or closed windows they were boiling too. I’m aware the hotel couldn’t do anything more while we were there, but with heatwaves and temps on the rise it probably should consider aircon units or something to more seriously cool the rooms. We were there for two nights and unfortunately I couldn’t wait to get out of it. If we’d been there another time of year (or outside the heatwave) it would have been great.

The hotel itself, room decor and furnishings were fabulous. The location was excellent and the staff really friendly. We ate in the restaurant on one night and the food was amazing - highly recommend!
