Get on top of the cleaning of the hotel because you are going to lose business otherwise.

I asked for an upgrade on my room as the size of the room was not what was advertised. At reception the male on reception happily upgraded at no cost which I appreciated a lot.

The first room I went into the towels were dirty in the bathroom and although it looked clean, on closer inspection it would not be up to scratch with other nearby hotels in Cork City. The second room I got upgraded to was much bigger and more space which was welcomed. However, again the cleanliness of the room was not up to scratch - there were a few black marks on the duvet cover and the window sill had dirt and what looked like a pubic hair on it. Most might overlook these things but we have all come out of pandemic so for me it was a big NO. On entering the hotel lobby there was a strong smell of urine in the lobby - they had fire doors open at one stage to leave out the smell but once the doors were closed it was quite strong. To be honest I stayed the night but left fairly nifty in the morning. It is a nice hotel with nice staff but cleanliness needs to be made a top priority. The place just made me itch to be honest!

Excellent location and friendly staff.

Just 1 elevator to rooms is a slight inconvenience and showers were complicated to try figure out temperature. Could do with updating

Nice decor hassle free check in and out car park close by very handy for what needed to do

The shower wa impossible to use water was scalding and could not adjust for some reason no markers hot or cold, did not have a nice shower

Very good location. Staff very friendly. Breakfast was lovely

Few little things could be added, for example very small amount of milk for tea, just enough for one cup. No little toiletries extra, like shower caps ect. Tv kept gliching and very little channels.

lovely stay in cork with friends and very convenient location for train and city centre.

second time staying in this hotel and it was a great stay, we stayed for 2 nights in december and everything was clean and comfortable. we got a great room with an excellent view over the city. breakfast was fresh and tasty and staff very good.

it happened to be a very very cold weekend so the room was a bit cold during the night and a second blanket in the room would have helped but only complaint really.

Feeling loved...

The people of Cork are beautiful...I injured myself while out and about in the city. The next morning the Hotel porter went above and beyond to help me. I was provided a wheelchair and brought to breakfast and collected. A taxi was ordered and I was assisted at all times. The porter even recommended and directed the taxi to the local Mercy primary care center( where the staff were also totally amazing 💜) who specialise in fractures. Thus avoiding any busy hospital emergency rooms. I am so impressed with this fantastic 125 year old establishment and all of its staff. Thanks now. 100% recommendation, thank you all so much.

Zero..This establishment understands intimately the hospitality and catering standard..which are unfortunately missing in alot of modern hotels.. It's like a perfectly run ship.

Amazing all around, room, staff, and restaurant.

We enjoyed the hotel very much. The desk staff was very helpful with learning about the area and recommendations. They helped us book a taxi to tour the area on a rainy day. We loved the restaurant, both for dinner and breakfast. Overall it was a fantastic stay. The rooms were very clean. We plan to stay there again when we return to Cork.

I'm happy to say we cannot think of anything bad.

Good location if didn’t have own car ! Veru helpful,friendly staff. Food was excellent but I feel not value for money.

The parking facility was a disaster . Paid for parking but prepaid ticket wouldn’t work. One of the guys was really nice and understood ,but the other Car park attendant was not nice and blamed the hotel and was quite unhelpful.Also I had to walk with luggage to the car park which was not ideal. Step outside was front door was dangerous ( even with signs ) was unhelpful with suitcase and luggage . Dirty hand towel in bathroom on arrival and would’ve like toiletries in bathroom .

Old style good service in hotel that needs an update

Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Lovely long bar downstairs.

Room was quite dated and not 💯 clean. My room was facing onto noisy street. Also hotel corridors very noisy at night - other occupants screaming/ laughing at 1 o clock… suggests it’s becoming a cheap option for young travellers

City centre stay

The staff were amazing in the reception and breakfast area. The hotel was clean and room just what we expected. The location was great.

That they didn't have a lunch menu. The time it took to get served a drink in the bar. We waited 25 mins and it wasn't busy. Then the barman had to get someone to make my cocktail
