The view.
The shabbiness actually really appealed. It’s faded grandeur. A great Victorian building. Our room great. Yes there are windows that need mending, bad finishes, holes under sink, dirty skirting boards, worn carpets but the bed was comfy, hot water good, view gorgeous, towels clean. Atmosphere great.
Staff lovely.

lovely location, friendly staff
i thought £35 per dog per night was extremely steep - I had 2 spaniels with me and only stayed 1 night so I had to pay £70 just for my two dogs. they literally took 5 steps in the the room and went in to their crates for the night and then came straight back out the room in the morning.
