Food was good, both the evening meal and the breakfast. A lovely historic building that is much nicer than the usual chain hotels. Plenty of games made available to use. The room was a good size, and bed was very comfortable.
Grounds looking a bit tired, not helped no doubt due to the particularly dry summer making the lawns look patchy. Breakfast was from 8:30am on the Sunday, which made it a bit tight for where we needed to be in the morning.

I asked for the room to be made to be a twin bed and my request was immediately met with a positive reply. We received the warmest welcome from Buddy immediately followed by an equally warm welcome from the host. We were treated as if we were the most imnportant guests in a 5 star hotel. We stayed in the main body of the house and had a room on the first floor. I fell in love with the house and could imagine the gardens springing back to life if only there had been the seasonal rain in Norfolk for the past years instead of perpetual drought. Overall, it was all I imagined it would be. I would return and stay much longer.

For a four star hotel the dinner menu was very poor more like a pub menu a shame because the rest of the stay was fantastic overall very good

Beautiful setting
Shower in goldcrest room was very weak, also breakfast could do with starting slightly earlier than 8:30 for those that are early risers it quite a long wait
