Fantastic service; very good food; Nile view (from river side of hotel) terrific; reasonably priced
This hotel, like the other 5-7 5-star Nile City hotels within 2 miles of the Fairmont, have NO high end shopping closer than 45” away to the nearest mall. Also, the nice new broad sidewalk with restaurants along the Nile) cannot be accessed without jay-walking across a very busy 6 lane road. What a wasted investment.

The Nile view was beautiful and honestly the highlight of my stay. Service, though, was very slow, which made the experience frustrating.
Service was extremely slow. I called the spa in advance and was told they offered professional hairstyling and makeup for a wedding, but after spending nearly three hours there, it was clear they could only do a basic blow-dry. I still was expected to pay, so I left and rushed to a salon in the mall. It was a complete waste of time. Also, It didn't feel family oriented or safe for my teenage daughters or for me. I wasn't comfortable. During the earthquake, after walking down19 floors, the lobby doors were locked, and we were told to use the elevators despite possible aftershocks. I expected much better emergency procedures.
