The hotel is beautiful and there is plenty of private (free) parking next to it. Front desk staff was professional, helpful and friendly. Golf course with its lake is very nice and with reasonable prices. The staff at the hotel's snack bar El Tabanco is also very professional. Moto-GP Circuit of Jerez is close to the hotel. Jerez city centre is only a 15min car drive away. Sea side is only about 45min drive, there are some great beaches nearby in Chiclana or Chipiona. Good location in general if you can travel around by car.
The air con in the room was too old, setting adjusting was very limited and the air smelled bad some times (ceiling's celosia was dusty!). The rooms' whole air condintioning system is in urgent need of renovation.
In general, the rooms need a full renovation - for example, the wardrobes and bathroom were very dated and the bathroom's sliding door was actually difficult to open/close. A shower would probably be better than a bath too. Mattress was way too soft, not firm enough, so the bed was a bit uncomfortable.
The staff at the hotel's restaurant El Lagar (buffet restaurant's host) was a bit unfriendly and the whole area had a strong bad smell one night (like old re-fried fish oil). We didn't go in, we just noticed it.

The people were very nice and helpful.
The AC didn’t work well at all. Hot to sleep. Smelled of Majuana for 3 nights straight because they allowed a singer to smoke on my floor.
